Buckingham Palace

His Excellency Dr Peter Ammon was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Federal Republic of Germany to the Court of St James’s.

Mrs Heimann-Ammon was also received by Her Majesty.

His Excellency Mr Déo Sindayihebura was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Burundi to the Court of St James’s.

Mrs Beatrice Baricako was also received by Her Majesty.

Mrs Deborah Bronnert (Chief Operating Officer, Foreign and Commonwealth Office) was present.

Admiral Sir George Zambellas (First Sea Lord and Chief of the Naval Staff) was received by The Queen.

Her Majesty held a Council at 5.30pm.

The Rt Hon Lynne Featherstone MP and the Rt Hon Norman Lamb MP made affirmation as members of Her Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council.

Mrs Ceri King was in attendance as Deputy Clerk of the Council.

The Rt Hon Nicholas Clegg MP had an audience of The Queen before the Council.

The Rt Hon David Cameron MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of Her Majesty this evening.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, the Federation of London Youth Clubs, this afternoon held a Luncheon at Buckingham Palace.

His Royal Highness, Royal Patron, the Mass Extinction Monitoring Observatory, this evening held a Dinner at Buckingham Palace.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon visited Parque Fundidora, Monterrey, Mexico, and were received by the Governor of the State of Nuevo Leon and Mrs de Medina.

His Royal Highness, President, The Prince’s Trust, afterwards visited Planetario Alfa (Science Museum), Monterrey, and joined a discussion on social entrepreneurship before meeting Government and business representatives and touring the “Un-Conference”.

The Prince of Wales later met members and supporters of the Savory Institute at Chipinque Park, Monterrey.

The Duchess of Cornwall, accompanied by Mrs de Medina, this afternoon travelled by canal through central Monterrey.

Their Royal Highnesses subsequently opened the joint United Kingdom and Canadian Consulate in Monterrey.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this evening departed Monterrey International Airport for the United Kingdom.

The Duke of York this morning received Mr Samir Brikho (Chief Executive, Amec plc.).

His Royal Highness this evening held Pitch@Palace for entrepreneurs and potential supporters, at St James’s Palace.

The Duke of York afterwards attended a Reception for Pitch@Palace at Wayra Academy, Capper Street, London WC1.

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, today undertook the following engagements in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

His Royal Highness this morning visited Churchie Grammar School, Oaklands Parade, East Brisbane, and was received by the Governor of Queensland (the Hon Paul de Jersey).

The Earl of Wessex this afternoon attended a Reception at Parliament House, George Street, for young people who have attained the Gold Standard in the Award, for volunteers and in recognition of the Queensland Government as a major Award Operator.

His Royal Highness later attended a Reception at Energex Limited to recognise the Milestones of Energex and The Duke of Edinburgh’s Australia Award Project.

The Earl of Wessex this evening attended a Dinner for the Australian Award, at the Brisbane Club, Adelaide Street.

The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this morning departed Heathrow Airport, London, for the United States of America and was received upon arrival at Washington Dulles International Airport by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the United States of America (His Excellency Sir Peter Westmacott).

Her Royal Highness and Admiral Laurence this evening attended a Reception at the Residence of Her Majesty’s Ambassador in Washington DC.

The Duke of Gloucester, President, Greenwich Foundation, this morning received Sir Robert Crawford upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman and Mr. Antony Hales upon assuming the appointment.

Mr. Brendan McCarthy (Chief Executive) was present.

His Royal Highness, Grand Prior, the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem, this afternoon installed Dr. Neil Conn as Lord Prior of St. John at a Service in the Priory Church of St. John, Clerkenwell, London EC1.

The Duke of Gloucester, Royal Patron, and The Duchess of Gloucester this evening attended a Dinner at the British Museum, Great Russell Street, London WC1.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, President, Commonwealth War Graves Commission, this morning departed St. Pancras International Railway Station for Belgium.

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited the Western Europe Area Workshops, Ieper (Ypres).

The Duke of Kent later visited Flanders Fields Museum, Ieper.

His Royal Highness afterwards attended the Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate, Ieper.

The Duke of Kent this evening attended a Reception in the Town Hall, Ieper, in honour of the buglers and members of the Last Post Association.
