Buckingham Palace

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh, accompanied by The Duke of Cambridge, this morning attended a Service of Dedication to mark the opening of the Flanders Memorial Garden in the Guards Chapel Square, Wellington Barracks, Birdcage Walk, London SW1, during which Her Majesty laid a wreath, and were received by the Major General Commanding Household Division (Major General Edward Smyth-Osbourne) and the Reverend Kevin Bell (Senior Chaplain, Household Division).

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, the Outward Bound Trust, this evening held a Dinner at Frogmore House, Windsor.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this morning arrived at Royal Air Force Brize Norton from Mexico.

Mr Simon Martin, Mrs Amanda MacManus, Mr James Bowden, Mr Patrick Harrison, Miss Eva Omaghomi and Lieutenant Colonel David Bevan were in attendance.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Cambridge and Prince Henry of Wales this evening held a Reception at Buckingham Palace to thank those involved in the medical care, recovery and rehabilitation of British Servicemen and Servicewomen.

The Queen, The Duke of York and Princess Alexandra, the Hon Lady Ogilvy were present.

Prince Henry of Wales this morning planted a Cross of Remembrance in the Royal British Legion Field of Remembrance at St Margaret’s Church, Westminster Abbey, London SW1.

The Duke of York this morning visited Cavendish Laboratory, University of Cambridge, 19 J J Thomson Avenue, Cambridge, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire (Mr Hugh Duberly).

His Royal Highness this afternoon attended a Lunch given by the Vice-Chancellor (Professor Sir Leszek Borysiewicz) at the University of Cambridge.

The Duke of York later held an Asia Society Dialogue at Buckingham Palace.

His Royal Highness this evening held a Dinner and Discussion for the Asia Society at St James’s Palace.

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this evening attended the Perth Gala Dinner at the Crown Perth Metropol Hotel, Burswood, Perth, Western Australia.

The Countess of Wessex this morning visited Butterwick Hospice Care, Middlefield Road, Stockton-on-Tees, to open Butterwick House and to mark their Thirtieth Anniversary and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of County Durham (Mrs Susan Snowdon).

Her Royal Highness today opened the North East Centre for Autism, Cedar Drive, Newton Aycliffe, County Durham.

The Countess of Wessex this afternoon opened Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Headquarters, Belmont Business Park, Durham.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Foundation of Light, this evening attended the Beacon of Light Dinner at the Stadium of Light, Sunderland, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Tyne and Wear (Sir Nigel Sherlock).

The Princess Royal, Royal Bencher, the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this morning opened the Magna Carta: Muse and Mentor Exhibition before attending the Exhibition Opening Ceremony at the Thomas Jefferson Building, Library of Congress, 10 First Street SE, Washington DC, United States of America.

Her Royal Highness, accompanied by Admiral Laurence, this afternoon attended a Reception to launch First World War Commemorations at the Residence of Her Majesty’s Ambassador, British Embassy, 3100 Massachusetts Avenue NW, Washington DC, and was received by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the United States of America (His Excellency Sir Peter Westmacott).

The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, later visited Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia, and laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Her Royal Highness, Royal Bencher, the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple, accompanied by Admiral Laurence, this evening attended a Dinner at the Thomas Jefferson Building, Library of Congress.

The Duke of Gloucester, Vice Royal Patron, the Almshouse Association, this morning received Mr. Blair Gulland (Chairman) and Lieutenant Colonel Anthony De Ritter (Director).

His Royal Highness, Grand Prior, the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem, this afternoon received Dr. Neil Conn (Lord Prior).

The Duke of Gloucester, President, Public Monuments and Sculpture Association, this evening presented the Marsh Awards for Excellence in Public Sculpture, Public Fountains and Conservation, at 70 Grosvenor Street, London W1.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, President, Commonwealth War Graves Commission, today carried out the following engagements in Belgium.

His Royal Highness this morning visited the Commission’s new offices in Paddevijverstraat, Ieper (Ypres).

The Duke of Kent later visited Tyne Cot Cemetery and Memorial, Zonnebeke.

His Royal Highness afterwards visited Poperinge New Military Cemetery, Deken de Bolaan, Poperinge.

The Duke of Kent this afternoon visited Talbot House, Gasthuisstraat 43, Poperinge.

His Royal Highness subsequently visited Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, Boescheepseweg, Poperinge.

The Duke of Kent this evening arrived at St. Pancras International Railway Station from Belgium.

Captain James Scott-Barrett was in attendance.
