Buckingham Palace
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh laid wreaths at the Cenotaph this morning on the occasion of Remembrance Day.
Wreaths were also laid by The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Cambridge, The Duke of York, The Earl of Wessex and The Duke of Kent.
The Duchess of Cornwall, The Duchess of Cambridge, The Countess of Wessex, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, and Princess Alexandra, the Hon Lady Ogilvy were present during the Ceremony.
The Duke of York afterwards took the salute at the March Past of Ex-Servicemen and Civilian Organisations on Horse Guards Parade, London SW1.
Clarence House
The Prince of Wales, Colonel, Welsh Guards, this afternoon attended a Luncheon at Wellington Barracks, Birdcage Walk, London SW1.
His Royal Highness, Colonel, Welsh Guards, afterwards attended a Service of Remembrance in the Guards Chapel, Wellington Barracks, and subsequently laid a wreath at the Footguards’ Memorial, Horse Guards Parade, London SW1.
The Prince of Wales later attended the London Premiere of the Last Train to Tomorrow and met beneficiaries of the Kindertransport programme at the Roundhouse Theatre, Chalk Farm Road, London NW1, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).
Kensington Palace
The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester this afternoon attended a performance of Benjamin Britten’s “War Requiem” at the Royal Albert Hall, Kensington Gore, London SW7, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).
St James’s Palace
The Duke of Kent, President, Royal Choral Society, this afternoon attended a performance of Benjamin Britten’s “War Requiem” at the Royal Albert Hall, Kensington Gore, London SW7, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).
