Buckingham Palace

His Excellency Mr Mohammed Abdalla Ali Eltom was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of the Sudan to the Court of St James’s.

Mrs Amani Abu Aagla was also received by Her Majesty.

His Excellency Ms Sylvie Bermann was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the French Republic to the Court of St James’s.

Sir Simon Fraser (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present.

Air Chief Marshal Sir Andrew Pulford (Chief of the Air Staff) was received by Her Majesty.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Captain General, Royal Marines, this afternoon attended the Colonels Commandant Luncheon at Stationers’ Hall, Ave Maria Lane, London EC4.

His Royal Highness, Patron, the Chartered Society of Designers, this evening held a Dinner at St. James’s Palace and presented the Minerva Medal for 2014.

The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince’s Foundation for Building Community, and The Duchess of Cornwall this morning visited the School of Jewellery, Birmingham City University, Vittoria Street, Birmingham, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of West Midlands (Mr Paul Sabapathy).

His Royal Highness afterwards visited Thomas Fattorini Limited, Regent Street Works, Birmingham.

The Prince of Wales, President, the National Trust for Places of Historic Interest and Natural Beauty, later visited Wightwick Manor and gardens, Wightwick Bank, Wolverhampton.

His Royal Highness, Patron, this afternoon visited the Samaritans, 54 Newhampton Road West, Wolverhampton.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall afterwards visited the Royal School Wolverhampton, Penn Road, Wolverhampton, to celebrate the Fortieth Anniversary of Interfaith Wolverhampton.

The Duchess of Cornwall, Patron, this morning visited Elmhurst School for Dance, 249 Bristol Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham, and was received by Mr Roger Burman (Deputy Lieutenant of West Midlands).

The Prince of Wales, Patron, the Battle of Britain Fighter Association, and The Duchess of Cornwall were represented by Air Vice Marshal the Lord Beaverbrook (Honorary Inspector General of the Royal Auxiliary Air Force) at the Funeral of Flight Lieutenant William Green (Battle of Britain veteran) which was held at Clevedon Baptist Church, Clevedon, North Somerset, this afternoon.

The Duke of Cambridge, Patron, Tusk Trust, this evening attended the inaugural Tusk Conservation Awards at Claridge’s, 49 Brook Street, London W1.

The Duchess of Cambridge, Patron, East Anglia Children’s Hospices, this morning attended the launch of the appeal for a new Norfolk hospice, at the Norfolk Showground, Norwich, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Norfolk (Mr Richard Jewson).

The Duke of York this afternoon visited the United Kingdom India Business Council, Bangalore, India.

His Royal Highness afterwards visited TechHub, Bangalore.

The Duke of York, Fellow, the Royal Society, with The President of the Republic of India, later opened the Commonwealth Science Conference at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.

His Royal Highness this evening attended a Dinner for the Commonwealth Science Conference at the Leela Palace Hotel, Bangalore.

The Earl of Wessex, Chairman of the Trustees, The Prince Philip Trust Fund for the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, this evening attended a Trustees’ Meeting followed by a Dinner at Victoria Barracks, Sheet Street, Windsor, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the Royal County of Berkshire (the Hon Mrs Bayliss).

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, Meningitis Now, this afternoon held a Meeting at Buckingham Palace.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, afterwards held a Meeting for Caring for Life.

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, Tomorrow’s People, this evening attended a programme of readings by the cast of the television drama series, Downton Abbey, at St. George’s Church, Hanover Square, London W1.

The Princess Royal, Master, the Corporation of Trinity House, this morning chaired the Quarterly Court Meeting and attended a Luncheon at Trinity House, Tower Hill, London EC3.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, College of Emergency Medicine, this afternoon attended an Emergency Leaders’ Conference at the British Library, 96 Euston Road, London NW1, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).

The Princess Royal, Grand Master, the Royal Victorian Order, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this evening attended Evensong in The Queen’s Chapel of the Savoy, Savoy Hill, London WC2, followed by a Reception.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this morning opened Subsea Innovation Limited’s new Headquarters at 3 Roundhouse Road, Faverdale East Business Park, Darlington, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of County Durham (Mrs. Susan Snowdon).

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited Woodlea Primary School, Gill Crescent South, Fence Houses, Houghton-le-Spring, to commemorate the Centenary of the school building.

The Duke of Gloucester later visited Developing Initiatives for Support in the Community at Sapphire House, IES Centre, Horndale Avenue, Aycliffe Business Park, Newton Aycliffe, to commemorate their Thirtieth Anniversary.

His Royal Highness, Patron, Royal Air Force 501 (County of Gloucester) Squadron Association, was represented by Group Captain Gary Bunkell (Inspector, Royal Auxiliary Air Force) at the Funeral of Flight Lieutenant William Green (former President of the Royal Air Force 501 (County of Gloucester) Squadron Association) which was held at Clevedon Baptist Church, Clevedon, North Somerset, this afternoon.

The Duke of Kent, Patron, Restore Burn and Wound Research, today received Mr. Michael Constant (Chairman) and Mr. John Cherry (Chief Executive).

Princess Alexandra, Patron, this evening held a Reception at Buckingham Palace to mark the One Hundredth Anniversary of CCHF All About Kids (formerly Children’s Country Holidays Fund).
