Buckingham Palace

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh held an Evening Reception at Buckingham Palace for the Diplomatic Corps at which The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall were present.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, this afternoon opened the First World War in the Air Exhibition at the Royal Air Force Museum London, Grahame Park Way, London NW9, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).

The Lord St John of Bletso (Lord in Waiting) was present at Heathrow Airport, London, this evening upon the Arrival of The President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and welcomed His Excellency on behalf of The Queen.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales this afternoon received the Rt Hon Edward Miliband MP (Leader of the Opposition).

His Royal Highness, President, The Prince’s Regeneration Trust, subsequently held a Meeting.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall afterwards visited Sky Academy, Grant Way, Isleworth, Middlesex, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant for Greater London (Sir David Brewer).

The Prince of Wales later received Lieutenant General Sir Simon Mayall upon relinquishing his appointment as Defence Senior Advisor Middle East at the Ministry of Defence and Lieutenant General Thomas Beckett upon assuming the appointment.

The Duke of York, Patron, Raspberry Pi Foundation, this morning received Mr David Cleevely (Chairman) and Mr Lance Howarth (Chief Executive Officer).

His Royal Highness, Past Captain, the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews, today held a Past Captains’ Meeting and Luncheon at Buckingham Palace.

The Duke of York, Patron, Police Treatment Centres, this afternoon received Colonel Patrick Cairns (Chief Executive Officer).

His Royal Highness received Mr Luke Johnson (Chairman, Careers Schools Trust) and Mrs Ruth Gilbert (Chief Executive Officer).

The Duke of York, Patron, the Trampery, later opened the Trampery, 239 Old Street, London EC1.

His Royal Highness this evening attended a Hong Kong Society Reception at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London, 66 Knightsbridge, London SW1.

The Princess Royal this morning visited the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society Winter Fair, Royal Welsh Showground, Llanelwedd, Builth Wells, Brecknockshire, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Powys (the Hon Mrs Legge-Bourke).

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, the Japan Society, this afternoon attended a Service for Japan 400 to commemorate the Four Hundredth Anniversary of the return of the Clove to London, the Lady Chapel, Westminster Abbey, London SW1.

The Duchess of Gloucester, Patron, Asthma UK, this evening attended a Carol Service in St. Luke’s Church, Sydney Street, London SW3.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, Patron, St. Mungo’s Community Housing Association Limited, this evening attended a Carol Concert in St. Brides Church, Fleet Street, London EC4.
