Buckingham Palace

His Excellency Mr Estifanos Habtemariam Ghebreyesus was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the State of Eritrea to the Court of St James’s.

His Excellency Mr Nguyen Van Thao was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Court of St James’s. Mrs Nguyen Minh Hien was also received by Her Majesty. Mrs Deborah Bronnert (Chief Operating Officer of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office) was present.

The Hon Ms Elizabeth Dowdeswell was received by The Queen this afternoon upon her appointment as Lieutenant Governor of Ontario.

The Queen, Patron, British Diabetic Association, this evening attended a Reception at St James’s Palace to commemorate the Eightieth Anniversary of Diabetes UK.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Past Master and Elder Brother, the Corporation of Trinity House, this evening attended a Younger Brethren’s Dinner at Trinity House, Tower Hill, London EC3.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this evening attended the Royal Film Performance of The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel in aid of the Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund at the Odeon Cinema, Leicester Square, London WC2.

The Duchess of Cornwall, Patron, Emmaus UK, this morning officially opened the new Emmaus Lambeth Community at St Luke’s Hub, 25A Wincott Street, London SE11, and was received by Mrs Rosemary Prescott (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London)

Her Royal Highness, Patron, later visited an exhibition entitled Waterloo: Life and Times at the Fan Museum, 12 Crooms Hill, London SE10, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).

The Duchess of Cornwall, Commodore-in-Chief, Royal Naval Medical Service, this afternoon received Surgeon Rear Admiral Calum McArthur upon relinquishing his appointment as Medical Director General Naval and Surgeon Rear Admiral Alasdair Walker upon assuming the appointment.

The Princess Royal this morning visited Thame Market, Upper High Street, Thame, on the occasion of its Eight Hundredth Anniversary and was received by Mr Bernard Taylor (Deputy Lieutenant of Oxfordshire).

Her Royal Highness, President, Racing Welfare, this afternoon opened Residential Facilities at 4 Old Maltongate, Malton, and afterwards attended a Reception at the Old Lodge, Old Maltongate, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of North Yorkshire (Mr Barry Dodd).

The Princess Royal, Master, the Corporation of Trinity House, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this evening attended a Younger Brethren’s Dinner at Trinity House, Trinity Square, Tower Hill, London EC3.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, Grand Master, United Grand Lodge of England, this evening attended the Board of Grand Stewarts Dinner at Brooks’s Club, St. James’s Street, London SW1.
