COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

The President of the United Mexican States and Señora Angélica Rivera de Peña, with the Mexican Suite in attendance, took leave of The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this morning and left Buckingham Palace.

The President of the United Mexican States this afternoon attended a Reception given by the Chief Executive Officer of Oil and Gas UK (Mr Malcolm Webb) for representatives from the United Kingdom oil and gas sector at the Town House, Aberdeen, and was received by the Rt Hon Alistair Carmichael MP (Secretary of State for Scotland), Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Aberdeen (Councillor George Adam, the Lord Provost), the Rt Hon Matthew Hancock MP (Minister of State, Department of Energy and Climate Change) and Ms Fiona Hyslop MSP (Cabinet Secretary for Culture, Europe and External Affairs).

The President subsequently witnessed the Signing of Memoranda of Understanding on Collaboration in the Energy Sector at the Town House and delivered an Address.

The President of the United Mexican States afterwards visited Robert Gordon University, Garthdee Road, Aberdeen, and was received by the Principal (Professor Ferdinand Von Prondzynski).

The President attended a Presentation on “Knowledge Transfer and Education in the Energy Sector” and was given a demonstration of the Drilling and Advanced Rig Training Simulator.

The Viscount Brookeborough (Lord in Waiting) was present at Aberdeen International Airport later upon the Departure of The President of the United Mexican States and bade farewell to His Excellency on behalf of The Queen.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Cambridge this morning arrived at Heathrow Airport, London, from Hong Kong.

Sir David Manning, Mr Miguel Head, Ms Sally Osman and Mr Jason Knauf were in attendance.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York this afternoon received Mrs Jacqueline Corbelli (Founder and Chairman, BrightLine Partners LLC).

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this morning met participants of Films Without Borders at Battersea Park, London SW8.

The Countess of Wessex, Grand President, St John Ambulance in the Priory of England and the Islands, this morning attended the County Presidents’ Day at 27 St John’s Lane, London EC1.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, President, National Equine Forum, this morning attended the 2015 Forum at the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, One Birdcage Walk, London SW1, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).

Her Royal Highness, Honorary President, Spinal Injuries Scotland, this evening attended the Oil and Gas Quiz at Mercure Aberdeen Ardoe House Hotel, South Deeside Road, Blairs, Aberdeen, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Kincardineshire (Mrs Carol Kinghorn).
