Buckingham Palace

The Queen held an Investiture at Windsor Castle this morning.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were represented by the Right Reverend David Conner (Dean of Windsor) at the Funeral of the Very Reverend John Treadgold (formerly Chaplain at the Royal Chapel, Windsor Great Park) which was held in Chichester Cathedral, West Sussex, this afternoon.

The Prince of Wales was represented by the Reverend Canon Martin Poll.

The Duke of York was represented by Mrs Susan Pyper.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex were represented by the Reverend Canon John White.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York today visited the Imperial College Incubator, Ugli Campus, 56 Wood Lane, London W12.

His Royal Highness, Patron, Royal College of Ophthalmologists, this afternoon opened the new offices at 18 Stephenson Way, London NW1.

The Princess Royal this afternoon attended the Grand Military Race Meeting at Sandown Racecourse, Esher, and was received by Mr. Andrew Wates (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey).

Kensington Palace

The Duchess of Gloucester, Honorary President, the Lawn Tennis Association, today attended the Davis Cup Tie Matches between Great Britain and the United States of America at the Emirates Arena, Glasgow, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Glasgow (Councillor Sadie Docherty, the Rt. Hon. the Lord Provost).

Her Royal Highness, Honorary President, this evening attended a Dinner given by the Lawn Tennis Association at the Hilton Glasgow, 1 William Street, Glasgow.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, Royal Colonel, 1st Battalion The Rifles, this morning received Lieutenant Colonel Charles Grist upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer and Colonel Karl Hickman upon assuming the appointment.
