COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

Her Excellency Ms Rocío Maneiro was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of her predecessor and her own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Court of St James’s.

His Excellency Mr Daniel Fábrega was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Panama to the Court of St James’s.

Mrs Amparo Arocha de Fábrega was also received by Her Majesty.

Sir Simon Fraser (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present.

Sir Adam Thomson was received in audience by The Queen and kissed hands upon his appointment as United Kingdom Permanent Representative to the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation.

Lady Thomson was also received by Her Majesty.

The Queen, Patron, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, this afternoon opened the new Mary Tealby Kennels at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, 4 Battersea Park Road, London SW8, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer), Prince Michael of Kent (President), Ms Heather Love (Chairman) and Ms Claire Horton (Chief Executive).

Her Majesty, escorted by the Chief Executive, and His Royal Highness, escorted by the Chairman, viewed agility training in the exercise paddock and met members of staff, volunteers and supporters.

The Rt Hon George Osborne MP (Chancellor of the Exchequer) had an audience of The Queen this evening.

The Rt Hon David Cameron MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of Her Majesty.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Air Commodore-in-Chief, Air Training Corps, this morning received Air Commodore Dawn McCafferty (Commandant, Air Cadets).

His Royal Highness, Honorary Fellow, afterwards presented The Prince Philip Gold Medal and held a Luncheon at Buckingham Palace for the Institute of Sports and Exercise Medicine.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Admiral and Member, this evening attended a Reception to mark the opening of the Royal Yacht Squadron Bicentenary Exhibition at Rountree Tryon Galleries, 7 Bury Street, London SW1.

His Royal Highness, Patron, Muscular Dystrophy UK, was represented by the Lord Walton of Detchant (Honorary Life President) at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of the Lord Attenborough (Honorary Life President, Muscular Dystrophy Campaign) which was held in Westminster Abbey, London SW1, today.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon departed from Royal Air Force Brize Norton for the United States of America and this evening arrived at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, and were received by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the United States of America (His Excellency Sir Peter Westmacott).

Their Royal Highnesses later attended a Reception for members of the media given by Her Majesty’s Ambassador at the Residence in Washington.

The Earl Peel, Mr James Bowden, Mrs Joy Camm, Ms Kristina Kyriacou, Miss Eva Omaghomi and Lieutenant Colonel David Bevan are in attendance.

The Prince of Wales was represented by Sir Ben Kingsley at the Service of Thanksgivng for the Life of the Lord Attenborough which was held in Westminster Abbey, London SW1, this morning.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Cambridge, Colonel, and The Duchess of Cambridge this morning presented Shamrock to the Irish Guards at Mons Barracks, Princes Avenue, Aldershot, Hampshire, on the occasion of St Patrick’s Day.

The Duke of Cambridge, President, British Academy of Film and Television Arts, was represented by Miss Amanda Berry (Chief Executive) at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of the Lord Attenborough (former President) which was held in Westminster Abbey, London SW1, today.

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex this morning visited Stow Maries Aerodrome, Hackmans Lane, Purleigh, Chelmsford, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Essex (the Lord Petre).

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited New Holland Tractor Plant, Cranes Farm Road, Basildon, Essex, to mark their Fiftieth Anniversary.

The Earl of Wessex afterwards opened South Essex College Thurrock Campus, High Street, Grays, Essex.

His Royal Highness, Trustee, later presented The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Operating Licence to Thurrock Council at Thurrock Council Civic Offices, New Road, Grays.

The Earl of Wessex, Honorary Member, this evening attended the Jesters Club Annual Dinner at the Royal Automobile Club, 89 Pall Mall, London SW1.

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, this afternoon held the Finals of the Craft Guild of Chefs’ Fiftieth Anniversary Canapé Competition at Buckingham Palace.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Shooting Star Chase, this evening attended a Reception and Organ Recital at Kensington Palace.

The Princess Royal today carried out engagements in Metropolitan Manila, the Philippines.

Her Royal Highness this morning called upon The President of the Republic of the Philippines at Malacañang Palace, San Miguel, Manila.

The Princess Royal later attend a Briefing and Reception at the British Chamber of Commerce Philippines, West 5th Avenue Building, 5th Avenue Corner of 32nd Street, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.

Her Royal Highness this afternoon attended a Future Entrepreneurs Roundtable Discussion followed by a Reception for the sporting community at the Peninsula Manila, Corner of Ayala and Makati Avenues, Makati City.

The Princess Royal later called upon Mr Jejomar Binay (Vice President of the Republic of the Philippines) at Coconut Palace, Pasay City.

Her Royal Highness subsequently attended a Reception for Members of the British Community and Filipino Business Representatives at Coconut Palace.

The Princess Royal this evening attended a Dinner at the Residence in Makati City.
