Buckingham Palace

Her Excellency Ms Guisell Morales-Echaverry was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of her predecessor and her own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Nicaragua to the Court of St James’s.

His Excellency Dr Martin Eichtinger was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Austria to the Court of St James’s.

Mrs Eichtinger was also received by Her Majesty.

Sir Simon Fraser (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present.

Mr Brian Andrews was received by The Queen when Her Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh gave a Reception for the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust at Buckingham Palace this evening at which The Duke of Gloucester and Prince and Princess Michael of Kent were present.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, this afternoon held a Luncheon for Wildscreen.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall today carried out the following engagements in Washington DC, United States of America.

Their Royal Highnesses this morning visited the Lincoln Memorial and subsequently visited the Martin Luther King Junior Memorial.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall afterwards visited Mount Vernon and were received by the Governor of Virginia and Mrs McAuliffe.

The Prince of Wales this afternoon viewed a 1297 version of Magna Carta and the Charters of Freedom at the National Archives and met attendees at the “Magna Carta of the Future” Conference.

His Royal Highness, Patron, the Turquoise Mountain Foundation, afterwards attended a roundtable discussion at the Smithsonian Freer-Sackler Galleries.

The Prince of Wales later attended a “Plastics and the Oceans” Conference held by the International Sustainability Unit at the Hay-Adams Hotel.

His Royal Highness this evening attended a Reception given by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the United States of America (His Excellency Sir Peter Westmacott) at the Residence.

The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon visited the Shakespeare Theatre Company at the Harman Center for the Arts.

The Duke of York, Patron, Action on Hearing Loss, this afternoon received Mr Paul Breckell (Chief Executive) and Mr David Steadman (Executive Director).

Her Royal Highness, President, Save the Children UK, later attended a Reception at Villa Hotel, Obrero Street, Ormoc City.

The Princess Royal, President, Save the Children UK, subsequently visited Mariano Pono Elementary School, Municipality of Karanga, Leyte.
