COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

The Queen held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

Her Majesty held a Council at 5.30 p.m..

There were present: the Rt. Hon. Theresa May MP (acting for the President), the Rt. Hon. Oliver Letwin MP (Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster), the Rt. Hon. Patrick McLoughlin MP (Secretary of State, Department for Transport) and the Rt. Hon. Steven Webb MP (Minister of State, Department for Work and Pensions).

The Rt. Hon. Dame Eleanor King and the Lord Malcolm were sworn in as members of Her Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council.

The Rt. Hon. Sir David Bean, the Rt. Hon. Sir Ian Burnett, the Rt. Hon. Sir John Gillen and the Rt. Hon. Sir Philip Sales made affirmation as members of Her Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council.

At the Council The Queen pricked the List of High Sheriffs for the Counties of England (other than Cornwall and those in the Duchy of Lancaster) and Wales.

After the Council, the Rt. Hon. Oliver Letwin MP had an audience of Her Majesty when The Queen pricked the List of High Sheriffs for the Counties of the Duchy of Lancaster.

Mr. Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.

The Rt. Hon. Theresa May MP had an audience of The Queen before the Council.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Colonel, Grenadier Guards, this morning visited the Regimental Headquarters, Nijmegen Company and the Regimental Band at Wellington Barracks, Birdcage Walk, London SW1.

His Royal Highness, Honorary Air Commodore, this evening attended the Centenary Dinner at Royal Air Force Northolt, Ruislip, Middlesex.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall today carried out the following engagements in Washington DC, United States of America.

Their Royal Highnesses this morning visited President Lincoln’s Cottage and subsequently visited the Armed Forces Retirement Home at the Sherman Building.

The Prince of Wales later visited the Carlos Rosario International Public Charter School.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall were received this afternoon by The President of the United States of America and the Vice President at the White House.

His Royal Highness afterwards attended a Reception at the State Department to mark the Sixtieth Anniversary of the Marshall Scholarships.

The Prince of Wales later met the Senate Foreign Relations Committee at Capitol Hill for a discussion on challenges to development and the environment.

His Royal Highness subsequently attended a Meeting with Senator Addison Mitchell McConnell, Jr. (Leader of the Senate) at Capitol Hill.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this evening attended a ceremony at the Mellon Auditorium when His Royal Highness was presented with the International Conservation Caucus Foundation Teddy Roosevelt Award.

The Duchess of Cornwall this morning attended a Meeting with the District of Colombia’s Sexual Assault Response Team at Washington DC’s Department of Forensic Sciences.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, this afternoon attended a Reception for Women of the World at the National Museum of Women in the Arts.

The Princess Royal today carried out the following engagements in Metro Manila, the Philippines.

Her Royal Highness this morning attended a British Council Education Roundtable Discussion at the Peninsula Hotel, Corner of Ayala and Makati Avenues, Makati City.

The Princess Royal afterwards opened new sports facilities at the British School Manila, 36th Street, University Park, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.

Her Royal Highness subsequently opened the Global Transaction Processing Centre and Regional Corporate Services Hub at the British Embassy, 120 Upper McKinley Road, McKinley Hill, Taguig City.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Opportunity International United Kingdom, this afternoon visited Tulay sa Pag-Unlad Incorporated Micro-Finance Trust, 61 Third Street, GHQ Village, Taguig City.

Her Royal Highness later attended a United Kingdom Trade and Investment Roundtable Discussion at the Peninsula Hotel, Makati City.

The Princess Royal this evening attended a Reception and subsequently attended a Dinner given by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of the Philippines (His Excellency Mr. Asis Ahmad) at the Residence in Makati City.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Honorary Air Commodore, No 501 (County of Gloucester) Logistics Support Squadron, this morning attended the Royal Auxiliary Air Force Honorary Air Commodore’s Annual Briefing and Luncheon at the Royal Air Force Club, 128 Piccadilly, London W1.

His Royal Highness, Patron, Construction Youth Trust, this evening presented The Duke of Gloucester’s Young Achievers Awards at the Under Globe, 21 New Globe Walk, Bankside, London SE1.

The Duchess of Gloucester, Chief Patron, this afternoon opened the renovated Library at Fleming Fulton School, Upper Malone Road, Belfast, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the County Borough of Belfast (Mrs. Fionnuala Jay-O’Boyle).

Her Royal Highness, Chief Patron, Hope for Youth Northern Ireland, this evening attended a Dinner at the Merchant Hotel, 16 Skipper Street, Belfast.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent this morning visited South Devon Railway, Buckfastleigh, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Devon (Sir Eric Dancer).

His Royal Highness, President, Royal National Lifeboat Institution, this afternoon visited Exmouth Lifeboat Station, Queens Drive, Exmouth, Devon.

The Duke of Kent this evening attended a Gala Dinner given by the French Ambassador (Her Excellency Madame Sylvie Bermann) at the Residence in London as part of a global celebration of French gastronomy.
