Buckingham Palace
The Queen, Colonel-in-Chief, Corps of Royal Engineers, today received Colonel Keith White (Commanding Officer the Engineer and Logistic Staff Corps).
Major General Richard Semple (Honorary Colonel) was also received by Her Majesty.
The Queen was presented with the new edition of the History of the Corps on the occasion of its One Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary.
The following were received in audience by The Queen and kissed hands upon their appointment as Her Majesty’s Ambassadors: Ms Catriona Laing (the Republic of Zimbabwe) and Mr Philip Parham (the United Arab Emirates).
Mr Clive Bates and Mrs Parham were also received by Her Majesty.
The following were received in audience by The Queen upon their appointment as British High Commissioners: Mr Jonathan Drew (the Republic of Mauritus) and Mr William Gelling (the Republic of Rwanda).
Mr Grant Suckling and Mr Gelling were also received by Her Majesty.
The Duke of Edinburgh, Colonel, Grenadier Guards, this evening presided over a Conference at Buckingham Palace attended by the Colonels of the Regiments of the Household Division and subsequently entertained the Colonels to Dinner.
The Prince of Wales, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

The Prince of Wales, President, Royal Drawing School, and The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon attended a Reception to mark the exhibition of D-Day Veterans’ portraits from Their Royal Highnesses affiliated regiments, The Queen’s Gallery, Buckingham Palace.

The Earl of Wessex this morning visited Aldro School, Lombard Street, Shackleford, Godalming, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey (Dame Sarah Goad).
His Royal Highness, Royal Honorary Colonel, The London Regiment, this evening attended the Senior Colonels’ Conference and Dinner at Buckingham Palace.
The Countess of Wessex, Patron, Disability Initiative, this evening attended the Fortieth Anniversary Birthday Party at the Resource Centre, Knoll Road, Camberley, and was received by Mr Andrew Wates (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey).
