The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this morning visited the Technology and Innovation Centre, University of Strathclyde, 99 George Street, Glasgow, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Glasgow (Councillor Sadie Docherty, the Rt. Hon. the Lord Provost) and the Chancellor (the Lord Smith of Kelvin).
Her Majesty, escorted by the Principal and Vice-Chancellor (Professor Sir James McDonald), visited the Weir Advanced Research Centre, the Centre for Continuous Manufacturing and Crystallisation Laboratory, and the Institute for Future Cities’ City Observatory.
His Royal Highness visited Quantum Technologies and the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering.
Afterwards The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were entertained to Luncheon by the Principal and Vice-Chancellor.
Her Majesty, accompanied by His Royal Highness, subsequently opened the new Technology and Innovation Centre.
The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, this afternoon opened South Glasgow University Hospital and the Royal Hospital for Sick Children, 1345 Govan Road, Glasgow, and was received by the Principal and Vice-Chancellor, University of Glasgow (Professor Anton Muscatelli).
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness, escorted by the Chairman, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (Mr. Andrew Robertson), visited the General Medical Children’s Ward, meeting patients and families and members of staff, before visiting the Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit Gymnasium.
By command of The Queen, Mr. Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) received His Excellency Mr. Juan Eduardo Falconi Puig at St. James’s Palace this afternoon in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Republic of Ecuador to the Court of St. James’s.

The Prince of Wales this morning attended a Meeting jointly held by The Prince of Wales’ International Sustainability Unit at Unilever House, 100 Victoria Embankment, London EC4.

The Duke of York today carried out the following engagements in Papua New Guinea.
His Royal Highness this morning laid a wreath at Bomana War Cemetery, National Capital District.
The Duke of York this afternoon visited Don Bosco Technological Institute, Port Moresby.
The Hon. Theo Zurenuoc (Acting Governor-General of the Independent State of Papua New Guinea) called upon His Royal Highness this evening at the Airways Hotel, Jacksons Parade, Port Moresby.
The Duke of York this evening received the Hon. Peter O’Neill MP (Prime Minister of the Independent State of Papua New Guinea).
His Royal Highness afterwards attended a Welcome Reception at the Airways Hotel Recreation Park, Jackson Parade, given by the Acting Governor-General of the Independent State of Papua New Guinea.
The Duke of York subsequently attended a Dinner at the Bacchus Restaurant, Airways Hotel, given by the Prime Minister of the Independent State of Papua New Guinea.

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, today attended Receptions at the Palace of Holyroodhouse for young people who have achieved the Gold Standard in the Award.
His Royal Highness, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this afternoon attended “a Celebration of Partnership” Seminar and Luncheon at the Holyrood Hotel, Edinburgh.

The Princess Royal, Patron, the Royal Alfred Seafarers’ Society, this morning visited Belvedere House, Weston Acres, Woodmansterne Lane, Banstead, on the occasion of its One Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary when Her Royal Highness presented the Society with a Royal Charter and was received by Vice Admiral Peter Dunt (Deputy Lieutenant of Surrey).
The Princess Royal, Colonel-in-Chief, Royal Army Veterinary Corps, this afternoon unveiled the War Horse Memorial Statue in Romsey Memorial Park and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire (Mr. Nigel Atkinson).
Kensington Palace
The Duke of Gloucester this afternoon opened the new offices of Woldgrain Limited, Hemswell, and was received by Mr. Graham Rowles Nicholson (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Lincolnshire).
His Royal Highness later visited Lincoln Castle.
The Duke of Gloucester afterwards visited Lincoln Cathedral.
His Royal Highness this evening officially opened Lincolnshire’s Great Exhibition at the Collection Museum, Danes Terrace, Lincoln.
