Buckingham Palace

Sir Stuart Hampson (First Crown Estate Commissioner and Chairman, the Crown Estate) was received by The Queen today.

Ms Alison Nimmo (Chief Executive, the Crown Estate) was also received by Her Majesty.

The Queen received the Bishop of Gloucester (the Right Reverend Rachel Treweek) who did homage upon her appointment.

The Rt Hon Michael Gove MP (Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice) administered the Oath.

The Bishop of Carlisle (Clerk of the Closet) was in attendance.

Mr Kristan Hopkins MP (Vice-Chamberlain of the Household) was received in audience by The Queen and presented an Address from the House of Commons to which Her Majesty was graciously pleased to make reply.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh gave a Reception at Buckingham Palace this evening for the winners of The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise.

The Duke of York, accompanied by Princess Eugenie of York, The Princess Royal, The Duke of Gloucester, The Duke of Kent, Princess Michael of Kent and Princess Alexandra, the Hon Lady Ogilvy were present.

The Princess Royal, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Windsor Castle this morning.

The Viscount Younger of Leckie (Lord in Waiting) called upon The President of the Republic of Kosovo at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London SW1, this afternoon and welcomed Her Excellency on behalf of Her Majesty.

By command of The Queen, Mr. Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr Daniel Taub at 2 Palace Green, Kensington, London W8, this morning in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the State of Israel to the Court of St James’s.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales, Patron, the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, and The Duchess of Cornwall today visited the Great Yorkshire Show, Harrogate, North Yorkshire.

His Royal Highness, Patron, this evening gave a Reception at Clarence House to mark the Fiftieth Anniversary of Practical Action.

The Duke of York this afternoon received the Rt Hon Sajid Javid MP (Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills).

The Princess Royal, Patron, Lattitude Global Volunteering, this afternoon visited Paccar Scout Camp, Denham Lane, Chalfont St Peter, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire (Sir Henry Aubrey-Fletcher, Bt).

Her Royal Highness afterwards opened affordable housing at Bloomfield Cottages, Bellingdon, near Chesham, Buckinghamshire.

Princess Alexandra, President, British School at Rome, this afternoon received Sir Ivor Roberts upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman and Mr Timothy Llewellyn upon assuming the appointment.
