The Duke of York, representing The Queen, today carried out the following events to mark the 50th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Singapore.

His Royal Highness this afternoon attended a lunch given by The President of Singapore at the Istana, the official residence.

The Duke of York then met with Mr Nguyen Tan Dung (Prime Minister of Vietnam) at the St Regis Hotel, Singapore.

His Royal Highness later attended the National Day Parade at the Padang.
