The Duke of Edinburgh, Colonel-in-Chief, Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, this morning visited 2 Close Support Battalion at Leuchars Station, St Andrews, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Fife (Mr Robert Balfour).

Kensington Palace

Prince Henry of Wales, Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry, today met Endeavour Fund Spitfire Scholarship recipients and took part in the Battle of Britain Memorial Flypast at Boultbee Flight Academy, Goodwood Racecourse, Chichester, West Sussex.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York, Fellow, the Royal Society, this morning received Sir Paul Nurse upon relinquishing his appointment as President and Professor Venkatraman Ramakrishnan upon assuming the appointment.

His Royal Highness afterwards received Mr Tobias Ellwood MP (Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs).

Buckingham Palace

The President of The Republic of Poland visited The Earl of Wessex this morning.

His Royal Highness, Honorary Air Commodore, Royal Air Force Waddington, later attended the Royal Air Forces Association Service in St Paul’s Cathedral, London EC4, followed by a Reception at Guildhall, Gresham Street, London EC2, to commemorate the Seventy Fifth Anniversary of the Battle of Britain.

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this afternoon held a Meeting.

The Countess of Wessex, Royal Patron, the Treloar Trust, this morning opened the redeveloped Evans House at Treloar School and College, London Road, Alton, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire (Mr Nigel Atkinson).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Tomorrow’s People, this evening held a Dinner.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, Warden, Gordonstoun School, this morning received Dr Eve Poole (Chairman of the Board) and Mr Simon Reid (Principal) at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

Her Royal Highness, Guardian, Give Them A Sporting Chance, later opened the Barcapel Activity Area at Calaiswood School, Duloch Schools and Community Campus, Nightingale Place, Dunfermline, and was received by Mrs Fiona Robertson (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Fife).

The Princess Royal, Vice Patron, Royal Scottish Geographical Society, this afternoon announced the appointment of Professor Charles Withers as the Geographer Royal for Scotland, Lord John Murray House, 15-19 North Port, Perth, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Perth and Kinross (Brigadier Melville Jameson).

Her Royal Highness, Royal Patron, MND Scotland, afterwards attended a Reception at Airth Castle Hotel, Airth, Falkirk, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Stirling and Falkirk (Mrs Marjory McLachlan).

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this morning visited the Open Door Centre, St. Barnabas Church Hall, Ferndale, Gorse Hill, Swindon, to mark its Thirtieth Anniversary and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Wiltshire (Mrs Peter Troughton).

His Royal Highness, Honorary Air Marshal, Royal Air Force, later attended a Service to commemorate the Seventy Fifth Anniversary of the Battle of Britain at Radnor Street Cemetery, Swindon, and afterwards witnessed a flypast by Spitfires and Hurricanes from the Royal Air Force Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.

The Duke of Gloucester this afternoon officially named the First Great Western train “Harold Starr” at Swindon Railway Station, Station Road, Swindon.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, Chancellor, this morning opened the 5G Innovation Centre, University of Surrey, Guildford, Surrey.

Buckingham Palace

Princess Alexandra, Patron, this morning visited Queen Mother’s Clothing Guild at St James’s Palace.
