The Princess Royal, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, today attended Receptions at St James’s Palace for young people who have reached the Gold Standard in the Award.

His Royal Highness, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this evening held a Reception for the Diamond Supporters and Leaders and subsequently held a Dinner at Buckingham Palace.

The Countess of Wessex this morning called upon His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Thani (Prime Minister of the State of Qatar and Minister of Interior) at the Ministry of the Interior, Doha, and was received by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the State of Qatar (His Excellency Mr Nicholas Hopton).

Her Royal Highness, Global Ambassador, International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness, afterwards visited the Qatar Charity in Doha.

The Countess of Wessex this afternoon attended a Lunch with the Qatar British Business Forum at W Hotel, Doha.

Her Royal Highness later visited the offices of Standard Chartered Bank, Doha.

The Countess of Wessex afterwards visited Mada (Qatar Assistive Technology Center) and Information and Communication Technology Senior Management Team, Doha.

Her Royal Highness, Global Ambassador, International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness, this evening attended a Dinner for Orbis and Seeing is Believing on board Shamekh.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal this afternoon visited the University of Warwick in Coventry to mark its Fiftieth Anniversary and was received by Professor Sir Nigel Thrift (Deputy Lieutenant of West Midlands).

Her Royal Highness, President, Royal Yachting Association, later visited Himley Hall Sailing Club at Himley Hall, Himley Park, Himley, Dudley, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire (Mr Ian Dudson).

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester today carried out the following engagements in Çanakkale, Turkey.

His Royal Highness this morning visited Troy.

The Duke of Gloucester, Honorary President, the Somme Association, this afternoon attended the Tenth (Irish) Division Service, Green Hill Cemetery, Gallipoli, and was received by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Turkey (His Excellency Mr Richard Moore).

His Royal Highness, Honorary President, the Somme Association, afterwards attended a Memorial Service at Hill 10 Cemetery, Gallipoli.

The Duke of Gloucester, Honorary President, the Somme Association, this evening attended a Dinner at Tusan Hotel.

The Duchess of Gloucester this afternoon officially opened Bradbury Gardens, National Star’s new accommodation development, West Drive, Cheltenham, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Gloucestershire, (Dame Janet Trotter).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, later opened an Exhibition to mark the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Cotswold Branch of the Embroiderers’ Guild at Nature in Art, Wallsworth Hall, Twigworth, Gloucester.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, President, Royal National Lifeboat Institution, this morning visited Moelfre Seawatch and Moelfre Lifeboat Station, Lifeboat House, Moelfre, Anglesey.

His Royal Highness later visited Holyhead Coastguard Co-ordination Centre, Prince of Wales Road, Holyhead, Anglesey.

The Duke of Kent, President, Royal National Lifeboat Institution, this afternoon visited Holyhead Lifeboat Station, Newry Beach, Holyhead.

His Royal Highness, President, Royal National Lifeboat Institution, afterwards visited Trearddur Bay Lifeboat Station, Fron Towyn, Lon Isallt, Trearddur Bay, Anglesey.
