COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

The Queen held a Council at 5.30pm.

There were present: the Rt Hon Christopher Grayling MP (Lord President), the Rt Hon Matthew Hancock MP (Paymaster General and Minister for the Cabinet Office), the Rt Hon Sajid Javid MP (Secretary of State, Department for Business, Innovation and Skills) and the Rt Hon Amber Rudd MP (Secretary of State, Department of Energy and Climate Change).

The Rt Hon James Brokenshire MP and Ms Gisela Stuart MP were sworn in as members of Her Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council.

Mr Angus Robertson MP made affirmation as a member of Her Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council.

Mr Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.

The Rt Hon Christopher Grayling MP had an audience of Her Majesty before the Council.

The Rt Hon David Cameron MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The Queen this evening.

The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay this morning visited the Royal Guard, Victoria Barracks, Ballater, Aberdeenshire.

The Duke of York this evening attended a Financial Services Dinner in London.

The Earl of Wessex, Royal Colonel, 2nd Battalion The Rifles, this afternoon held a Meeting.

His Royal Highness, Chancellor, University of Bath, this evening held a Reception and subsequently held a Dinner at Windsor Castle.

The Countess of Wessex, Global Ambassador, International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness, today undertook the following engagements in Doha, Qatar.

Her Royal Highness this morning called upon Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani (Assistant Foreign Affairs Minister for International Co-operation Affairs) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Countess of Wessex later launched the Qatar Airways and Orbis fundraising activities at Hamad International Airport.

Her Royal Highness this evening arrived at Heathrow Airport, London, from Qatar.

Mrs Amy Mayes was in attendance.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, Renter Warden, the Fishmongers’ Company, this morning attended a Committee of Wardens Meeting, a General Court Meeting and a Luncheon at Fishmongers’ Hall, London Bridge, London EC4.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, the National Pony Society, this evening attended the Mountain and Moorland Ridden Championship at the Horse of the Year Show, the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, and was received by Dr Timothy Watts (Deputy Lieutenant of West Midlands).

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester held a Meeting with Turkish Women in Finance at the Hotel Pera Palace, Istanbul, Turkey.

His Royal Highness afterwards visited Salt Galata Cultural Arts Centre, Arap Cami Mahallesi, Bankalar Caddesi, Istanbul.

The Duke of Gloucester this afternoon attended a Luncheon with members of the Turkish Contractors Association at the British Consulate General Istanbul, Mesrutiyet Caddesi, Tepebasi Beyoglu, Istanbul.

His Royal Highness, President, British Expertise International, afterwards attended a Meeting with members of the Turkish Contractors Association and British Expertise International at the British Consulate General Istanbul.

The Duke of Gloucester later attended a Reception with representatives from the Turkish Creative Industries at the British Consulate General Istanbul.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, Patron, this afternoon held a Lunch at Buckingham Palace for St Mungo’s Broadway.
