His Excellency Mr Carlos Abad Ortiz was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Ecuador to the Court of St James’s.

Her Royal Highness later visited the Nelsons Manufacturing Facility, 5-9 Endeavour Way, Wimbledon, London SW19, and met volunteers involved in an initiative to support the victims of rape and sexual abuse.
The Duchess of Cornwall afterwards visited the Haven (Whitechapel) Sexual Assault Referral Centre, Brady Street, London E1.

The Earl of Wessex this morning departed from Farnborough Airport, Hampshire, for Turkey and was received later on arrival at Ataturk Airport, Istanbul, by Her Majesty’s Consul-General (Mr Leigh Turner).
His Royal Highness, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this afternoon attended a Reception at the British Consulate in Istanbul for young people who have achieved the Gold Standard in the Award and was received by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Turkey (His Excellency Mr Richard Moore).
