The Duke of Cambridge, Patron, Shackleton Solo Expedition, this afternoon received Mr Henry Worsley and presented him with an expedition flag ahead of his journey to the South Pole.

The Duke of Cambridge later delivered an Address on the illegal wildlife trade at the Maughan Library, King’s College London, Chancery Lane, London WC2.

The Princess Royal this morning visited HMS Albion at HM Naval Base Devonport, Plymouth, and was received by Sir John Cave, Bt (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Devon).
Her Royal Highness this afternoon opened Holsworthy Agribusiness Centre and Livestock Market, New Market Road, Holsworthy, and was received by the Countess of Arran (Deputy Lieutenant of Devon). The Princess Royal, President, City and Guilds of London Institute, later visited River Cottage, Trinity Hill Road, Axminster, Devon.
