Buckingham Palace
The President of the People’s Republic of China this morning visited the National Graphene Institute at the University of Manchester, Booth Street East, Manchester, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester (Mr Warren Smith), the Rt Hon George Osborne MP (Chancellor of the Exchequer) and Dame Nancy Rothwell (President and Vice-Chancellor, University of Manchester).
The President viewed an exhibition showing electronics, energy storage applications, supercapacitors, advanced materials and biomedical applications and attended a presentation on the clean rooms.
The President of the People’s Republic of China afterwards visited Manchester City Football Club’s City Football Academy, Etihad Campus, Manchester, and was received by the Rt Hon David Cameron MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) and His Excellency Khaldoon Al Mubarak (Chairman, City Football Group and Manchester City Football Club).
The President received an introduction to the National Football Museum and, having been received by Mr Kevin Moore (Director, National Football Museum), viewed a display of Chinese and British artefacts and technology in the Interactive Performance Activity Zone.
His Excellency met Manchester City Women’s Football Club first team squad members and subsequently observed a first team training session at the Performance Centre.
The President of the People’s Republic of China and Madame Peng Liyuan were entertained to Luncheon by the Lord Mayor of the City of Manchester (Councillor Paul Murphy) at Manchester Town Hall this afternoon.
The President and Madame Peng Liyuan afterwards visited Manchester Airport and were received by the Chief Executive Officer of Manchester Airport Group (Mr C Cornish).
His Excellency and Madame Peng Liyuan viewed a display showing the Manchester Airport City Development and the launch of a China Cluster within the project.
Madame Peng Liyuan this morning visited the Museum of Science and Industry, Liverpool Road, Manchester.
The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, the Regimental Association of The Rifles and The Royal Gloucestershire, Berkshire and Wiltshire Regiment, this afternoon attended a Service of Thanksgiving in St George’s Chapel to mark the Centenary of the Battle of Loos and afterwards held a Reception at Windsor Castle.
The Earl Peel (Lord Chamberlain) was present at Manchester Airport this afternoon upon the Departure of The President of the People’s Republic of China and Madame Peng Liyuan and bade farewell to His Excellency and Madame Peng Liyuan on behalf of Her Majesty upon the conclusion to the State Visit to The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh.

The Prince of Wales, Patron, The Prince’s Countryside Fund, this morning visited the Farming Life Centre, Blackwell Hall Farm, Buxton, Derbyshire.
His Royal Highness, Patron, The Prince’s Countryside Fund, afterwards visited the Chatsworth Estate, Derbyshire, and attended a farming help meeting.
The Prince of Wales subsequently travelled by heritage train from Wirksworth to Duffield, Derbyshire.
His Royal Highness, Duke of Cornwall later visited a Duchy farm near Nottingham.
Kensington Palace
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge today visited Dundee and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Dundee (Councillor Robert Duncan, the Lord Provost).
Their Royal Highnesses this morning visited Dundee Rep Theatre, Tay Square, Dundee.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge afterwards visited the Corner, 13 Shore Terrace, Dundee.
Their Royal Highnesses later attended a Meeting with Young Scotland in Mind stakeholders at the Shore, 15 Shore Terrace, Dundee.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge this afternoon visited RRS Discovery, Discovery Point, Discovery Quay, Dundee.
His Royal Highness, President, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, and Her Royal Highness afterwards met winners of the Academy’s Young Game Designers Awards at Abertay University, Kydd Building, Bell Street, Dundee.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Transaid, this morning attended a Transport and Health Annual Presentation at Eversheds LLP, 1 Wood Street, London EC2.
Her Royal Highness, Patron, National Institute of Adult Continuing Education, this afternoon visited the Army Apprenticeship Programme at Worthy Down Station, Winchester, Hampshire.
The Princess Royal, President, Riding for the Disabled Association, later visited the Farnham Group, Inadown Farm Stables, Newton Lane, Newton Valence, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire (Mr Nigel Atkinson).
Kensington Palace
The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, the Regimental Association of The Rifles and The Royal Gloucestershire, Berkshire and Wiltshire Regiment, this afternoon attended a Service of Thanksgiving in St. George’s Chapel to mark the Centenary of the Battle of Loos, followed by a Reception at Windsor Castle.
The Duchess of Gloucester this afternoon departed Gatwick Airport, London, for Bermuda and was received this evening upon arrival at L. F. Wade International Airport by the Governor and Commander-in-Chief of Bermuda (His Excellency Mr George Fergusson).
