Mrs Justice Whipple was received by The Queen this afternoon upon her appointment as a Justice of the High Court when Her Majesty invested her with the Insignia of a Dame Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.
Mr Justice Carr, Mr Justice Colton, Mr Justice Fraser, Mr Justice Gilbart, Mr Justice Holgate, Mr Justice Kerr, Mr Justice MacDonald, Mr Justice Picken and Mr Justice Snowden were received by The Queen upon their appointment as Justices of the High Court when Her Majesty conferred upon them the honour of Knighthood and invested them with the Insignia of a Knight Bachelor.

The Duke of York, Chairman of the Trustees, Outward Bound Trust, today held a Chairman’s Meeting.
His Royal Highness afterwards gave a Luncheon for the Outward Bound Patron’s Company at Buckingham Palace.
The Duke of York, Colonel-in-Chief, The Yorkshire Regiment (14th/15th, 19th and 33rd/76th Foot), this afternoon received Lieutenant Colonel Philip Bassingham-Searle upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer 2nd Battalion and Lieutenant Colonel Mark Yates upon assuming his appointment as Commanding Officer 4th Battalion.
His Royal Highness later received Mr Frank Mars (President, Symbioscience, Mars Incorporated).

The Earl of Wessex this morning attended a Breakfast Meeting with the Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia (Brigadier-General the Hon John James Grant) and the Premier of Nova Scotia (the Hon Stephen McNeil) at Government House, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
His Royal Highness later visited the University of Prince Edward Island Health Sciences Centre, Halifax.
The Earl of Wessex subsequently attended the Prince Edward Island Special Olympic Sports Day at the University of Prince Edward Island Athletic Centre, Halifax.
His Royal Highness later arrived at St. John’s International Airport and was received by the Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador (the Hon Frank Fagan).
The Earl of Wessex this afternoon attended the Honour 100 Great War Commemoration Reception at the Rooms, St John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.
His Royal Highness, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, later attended a Reception for young people who have reached the Gold Standard of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award at the Church Lads’ Brigade Armoury, St John’s.
