Buckingham Palace

The Queen received the Bishop of Newcastle (the Right Reverend Christine Hardman) today who did homage upon her appointment.

The Rt Hon Michael Gove MP (Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice) administered the Oath.

The Bishop of Carlisle (Clerk of the Closet) was in attendance.

The following were received in audience by The Queen and kissed hands upon their appointment as Her Majesty’s Ambassadors: Mr John Casson (the Arab Republic of Egypt), Mr Charles Hay (the Republic of Korea), Mr Peter Millett (Libya) and Mr Ruairi O’Connell (the Republic of Kosovo).

Mrs Casson, Mrs Millett and Mrs O’Connell were also received by Her Majesty.

The Duke of Edinburgh this morning opened the Faith in Conservation Conference held by the Alliance of Religions and Conservation at Lambeth Palace, Lambeth Palace Road, London SE1.

The Duke of Cambridge, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

Kensington Palace

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge this afternoon signed a Book of Condolence for victims of the terrorist attacks in Paris, the French Embassy, 58 Knightsbridge, London SW1.

The Duke of Cambridge, President, the Football Association, this evening attended the football match between England and France at Wembley Stadium, Middlesex.

The Duchess of Cambridge this afternoon attended the Fostering Excellence Awards at BMA House, Tavistock Square, London WC1.

The Duchess of Cambridge, on behalf of The Duke of Cambridge, this evening attended a Dinner for the Defence and Rehabilitation Centre at Kensington Palace State Apartments.

The Duke of York this morning attended a briefing on Thu Thiem, Bitexco Finance Tower, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

His Royal Highness later visited Apollo 360, Pham Ngoc Thac Centre and attended a briefing on British University Vietnam.

The Duke of York today attended a Lunch for Entrepreneurs given by Dragon Capital at the Park Hyatt Saigon Hotel, Ho Chi Minh City.

The Earl of Wessex this morning visited Bolton School, Chorley New Road, Bolton, to mark the School’s Centenary and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester (Mr Warren Smith).

His Royal Highness this afternoon opened the new University Technical College, University of Bolton, Deane Road, Bolton.

The Earl of Wessex, Patron, later attended the Award Ceremony for the Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting at the Royal Exchange Theatre Company, St Anns Square, Manchester.

The Countess of Wessex, Chairman, Women in Business (promoting The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award) this afternoon held a Meeting.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, the Wallace Collection, this evening attended a Dinner at Hertford House, Manchester Square, London W1.

The Princess Royal, Chancellor, the University of the Highlands and Islands, this morning opened Inverness College Building, 1 Inverness Campus, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Inverness (Donald Cameron of Lochiel).

Her Royal Highness, Chancellor, the University of the Highlands and Islands, this afternoon attended Foundation Day at Inverness College.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Vine Trust, this evening held a Thirtieth Anniversary Dinner at the Palace of Holyroodhouse and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor Donald Wilson, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost).

The Duke of Gloucester, Colonel-in-Chief, Royal Army Medical Corps, today attended a Reception at Barber-Surgeons’ Hall, Monkwell Square, Wood Street, London EC2.

His Royal Highness, Patron, Fortress Study Group this afternoon received Colonel William Clements upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman and Mr David Page upon assuming the appointment.
