Buckingham Palace

Her Excellency Mrs Paivi Luostarinen was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of her predecessor and her own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Finland to the Court of St James’s.

Mr Jukka Luostarinen was also received by Her Majesty.

His Excellency Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohamed Al Khalifa was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Court of St James’s.

Shaikha Buthaina Alotaibi was also received by Her Majesty.

Sir Simon McDonald (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present.

General Sir Nicholas Houghton (Chief of the Defence Staff) was received by The Queen this afternoon.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, today attended Receptions at St James’s Palace for young people who have achieved the Gold Standard in The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

His Royal Highness this evening attended a Reception and Screening of “the Great Barrier Reef with David Attenborough” documentary at Australia House, Strand, London WC2.

Kensington Palace

Prince Henry of Wales this morning visited Kruger National Park, South Africa.

His Royal Highness later visited the Southern Africa Wildlife College, Kempiana Nature Reserve, Hoedspruit, and attended a graduation ceremony.

The Duke of York, Founder, Inspiring Digital Enterprise Award, this morning met participating students at the University of Cambridge Coding Lab, William Gates Building, 15 JJ Thomson Avenue, Cambridge, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire (Sir Hugh Duberly).

His Royal Highness today visited Barclays Fab Lab, Cambridge.

The Duke of York, Patron, Centre of Entrepreneurship, Cambridge Judge Business School, this afternoon attended a Pitch@Palace Meeting and Reception at 10 Trumpington Street, Cambridge.

The Earl of Wessex, Commodore in Chief, Royal Fleet Auxiliary, this morning received Commodore Duncan Lamb upon assuming his appointment as Commodore.

His Royal Highness, President, Sport and Recreation Alliance, afterwards held a Meeting.

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this afternoon visited Channing School, the Bank, Highgate, London N6, and was received by Captain Peter Baker (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

His Royal Highness later received His Excellency Sir Rodney Williams (Governor-General of Antigua and Barbuda).

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, and The Countess of Wessex, Global Ambassador, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this evening attended a World Fellowship Gala Dinner at Mansion House, London EC4.

The Princess Royal, Patron, the Butler Trust, this morning visited Darlington Youth Offending Service, Central House Annexe, Gladstone Street, Darlington, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of County Durham (Mrs. Susan Snowdon).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon attended a Reception for the Royal Caledonian Charities Trust at Archers’ Hall, 66 Buccleuch Street, Edinburgh, and was received by Mr Philip Young (Deputy Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh).

The Duke of Gloucester this morning opened the David Hockney Building, Bradford College, Great Horton Road, Bradford, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of West Yorkshire (Dr Ingrid Roscoe).

His Royal Highness today presented The Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Sustainable Development to Camira Fabrics Limited, the Watermill, Wheatley Park, Mirfield, West Yorkshire.

The Duke of Gloucester this afternoon presented The Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade to A-Safe (UK) Limited, Habergham Works, Ainleys Industrial Estate, Elland, Halifax.

The Duchess of Gloucester, Honorary President, the Lawn Tennis Association, in support of the Tennis Foundation, this afternoon attended the Wheelchair Tennis Masters at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre, Eton Manor, Leadmill Lane, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London E20.
