The Prince of Wales today visited Cumbria to see the impact of the recent floods on homes and local businesses and to meet those affected.

His Royal Highness, President, Business in the Community, this morning visited McVitie’s Carlisle, the Biscuits Works, 54 Church Street, Carlisle, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cumbria (Mrs Peter Hensman).

The Prince of Wales this afternoon met residents in Warwick Road, Carlisle.

His Royal Highness, President, Business in the Community, afterwards visited Greystone Community Centre, Close Street, Carlisle, and met those involved in rescue and support following the recent floods.

The Prince of Wales, Patron, The Prince’s Countryside Fund, later viewed flood damage in Bridge Street, Appleby-in-Westmorland.
