Today being the Feast of the Epiphany, a Sung Eucharist was held in the Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace, when the customary offerings of Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh were made on behalf of The Queen by Lieutenant Colonel Oliver Breakwell and Air Vice-Marshal Richard Lacey (Gentlemen Ushers to Her Majesty).
The Bishop of London (Dean of Her Majesty’s Chapels Royal) was the Celebrant and presented the Offerings, assisted by the Reverend Canon Paul Wright (Sub-Dean of Her Majesty’s Chapels Royal) and the Reverend Richard Bolton and the Reverend William Whitcombe (Priests in Ordinary).
The Queen’s Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard was on duty in the Chapel.
