COURT CIRCULAR

Sandringham, Norfolk

The Queen this morning officially opened the Norfolk Hospice, Tapping House, Wheatfields, Hillington, and was received by the Chairman of Trustees (Mrs Patricia Broke) and Mrs Lyndsay Carter (Chief Executive).

Her Majesty toured the Hospice, meeting patients and staff, past and present trustees, and volunteers.

The Prince of Wales, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

The Lord Petre (Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Essex) was present at London Stansted Airport this morning upon the Arrival of The President of the Republic of Croatia and welcomed His Excellency on behalf of The Queen.

Clarence House

The Amir of the State of Kuwait this afternoon visited The Prince of Wales.

His Royal Highness, Patron, the Intelligence Agencies, later visited the Secret Intelligence Service.

The King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan afterwards visited The Prince of Wales at Clarence House.

His Royal Highness, President, The Prince’s Trust, this evening attended a Reception for the Trust’s Invest in Futures at Old Billingsgate Market, London EC3.

The Duchess of Cornwall, Patron, the National Literacy Trust, this morning visited HM Prison Brixton, Jebb Avenue, London SW2, and was received by Mr Kevin McGrath (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, the Royal British Legion Poppy Factory, afterwards attended a Reception at Admiralty House, Whitehall, London SW1, to celebrate the charity’s Getting You Back to Work programme, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Mr Kenneth Olisa).

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York this morning opened the new kitchens at Berkshire College of Agriculture, Hall Place, Burchetts Green, Berkshire.

His Royal Highness afterwards re-launched the renovated Renaissance London Heathrow Hotel, Bath Road, Hounslow, Middlesex.

The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan visited The Duke of York at Buckingham Palace this afternoon.

His Royal Highness this evening gave a Reception at St James’s Palace for the launch of Pledge 1% UK.

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, Combined Services Winter Sports Association, today carried out the following engagements in Meribel, France.

Her Royal Highness today attended the ski championships.

The Countess of Wessex this afternoon attended the President’s Lunch at the Coeur du Cristal Restaurant.

Her Royal Highness this evening attended a Dinner at l’Orée du Bois.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, Royal Colonel, The Royal Scots Borderers, 1st Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland, this morning visited the Regiment on duty in United Nations Sector 2, Nicosia, Cyprus.

Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited Nicosia (Wayne’s Keep) Military Cemetery, Myrtou Road, United Nations Buffer Zone, Nicosia.

The Princess Royal, Colonel-in-Chief, Royal Corps of Signals, The Royal Logistic Corps and Royal Army Veterinary Corps, afterwards visited Cyprus Operations Support Unit at Royal Air Force Akrotiri.

Her Royal Highness subsequently visited 903 Expeditionary Air Wing at Royal Air Force Akrotiri.

The Princess Royal this evening arrived at Royal Air Force Brize Norton, Oxfordshire, from Cyprus.

Commander Anne Sullivan RN was in attendance.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, Habitat for Humanity Great Britain, this morning received Ms Meryl Davies upon assuming her appointment as Chief Executive.

Mr Stewart Baseley (Chairman) was present.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, President, the Scout Association, was represented by Mr Wayne Bulpitt (United Kingdom Chief Commissioner) at the Memorial Service for Major General Michael Walsh (Vice-President and former Chief Scout) which was held in the Royal Memorial Chapel, Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, Camberley, Surrey, this afternoon.
