COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

His Excellency Mr Jorge Alberto da Silva Borges was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Cabo Verde to the Court of St James’s.

His Excellency Mr George Aboua was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Cote D’Ivoire to the Court of St James’s.

Mrs Aboua was also received by Her Majesty.

Sir Simon McDonald (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present.

Mr Terence Lynch was received by The Queen this afternoon when Her Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Member of the Royal Victorian Order.

The Queen, Patron, this evening attended the Final Awards Reception for the Gold Service Scholarship at Claridge’s, Brook Street, London W1, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Mr Kenneth Olisa) and the Chairman of the Judges (Mr Edward Griffiths).

Her Majesty presented Certificates to the Scholar, Runners-up and Finalists and met the founder, trustees and associates of the Scholarship and industry leaders.

The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince’s Foundation for Building Community, this morning received Sir Terry Farrell (Architect) and Mr Max Farrell (Architect).

His Royal Highness received the Baroness Ashton of Upholland (formerly High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission).

The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince’s Foundation for Building Community, this afternoon held a Meeting.

The Duchess of Cornwall, Patron, Roald Dahl 100, this morning visited the Imagine Children’s Festival and Roald Dahl 100, South Bank Centre, Belvedere Road, London SE1, and was received by Mrs Rosemary Prescott (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Her Royal Highness, Commodore-in-Chief, Royal Naval Medical Services, this afternoon received Surgeon General Alasdair Walker upon relinquishing his appointment as Medical Director General (Naval) and Surgeon Commodore Peter Buxton upon assuming the appointment.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Cambridge this morning visited the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to mark the First Anniversary of the Diplomatic Academy, King Charles Street, London SW1, and was received by Wing Commander Michael Dudgeon (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Duke of York, Patron, British Exploring Society, this afternoon received Lieutenant General Andrew Graham upon relinquishing his appointment as Chief Executive Officer and Mrs Honor Wilson-Fletcher upon assuming the appointment.

Mr Edward Watson (Chairman) was present.

The Princess Royal this morning visited Dennys Brands Headquarters, 128 Kingston Road, Leatherhead, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey (Mr Michael More-Molyneaux).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited Brocks Chocs Limited, Bank House, Brockham Green, Brockham, Surrey.

The Princess Royal later presented The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service to Limbcare Limited at Denbies Wine Estate, Ranmore Road, Dorking, Surrey.

Her Royal Highness, Past Master, the Worshipful Company of Butchers, and Renter Warden, the Fishmongers’ Company, this evening attended the City Food Lecture at Guildhall, Gresham Street, London EC2.
