The following were received in audience by The Queen and kissed hands upon their appointment as Her Majesty’s Ambassadors: Mr Hugh Evans (the Lao People’s Democratic Republic), Miss Harriet Mathews (Federal Republic of Somalia) and Mr Leigh Turner (the Republic of Austria).
Mrs Evans and Mrs Pamela Major were also received by Her Majesty.
The Queen received Lieutenant General Edward Davis upon his appointment as Governor of Gibraltar.
Mrs Davis was also received by Her Majesty.
The Rt Hon David Cameron MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The Queen this evening.
The Duke of Edinburgh, Elder Brother and Past Master, the Corporation of Trinity House, this evening attended a Younger Brethren Dinner at Trinity House, Tower Hill, London EC3.

The Prince of Wales, President, Business in the Community, this morning visited Redcar and Cleveland Leisure Centre and Community Heart, Ridley Street, Redcar, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of North Yorkshire (Mr Barry Dodd).
His Royal Highness later visited the Redcar Combined Cadet Facility, Wheatlands, Redcar Lane, Redcar.
The Prince of Wales this afternoon visited Elring Klinger, Troisdorf Way, Redcar.
His Royal Highness, President, The Prince’s Foundation for Building Community, afterwards visited Kirkleatham Museum, Kirkleatham, Redcar.
The Prince of Wales, President, Business in the Community, subsequently attended a Business In the Community Reception for Business Connectors at Kirkleatham Pavilion.
His Royal Highness later viewed the Slow the Flow flood defence project in Pickering, North Yorkshire.
