Buckingham Palace

The Queen held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, today attended Receptions at St James’s Palace for young people who have achieved the Gold Standard in the Award.

The Duke of York, Patron, Baker Dearing Educational Trust, this morning opened Medway University Technical College, South Side Three Road, Chatham, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Kent (the Viscount De L’Isle). His Royal Highness this afternoon visited City Academy Whitehawk, Brighton, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of East Sussex (Mr Peter Field).

The Duke of York later received the Malvern College Canadian Canoe Expedition Team.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, Honorary Air Commodore, Royal Air Force Brize Norton, this morning visited 47 Squadron at the Station in Carterton, Oxfordshire, to mark its Centenary.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Lattitude Global Volunteering, this afternoon visited Mulberry Bush School, Standlake, Witney, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Oxfordshire (Mr Timothy Stevenson).

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, this morning received Brigadier Ian Liles upon relinquishing his appointment as Regimental Secretary and Colonel James Denny upon assuming the appointment.
