The Queen, Patron, Royal Horticultural Society, and The Duke of Edinburgh this evening visited the Chelsea Flower Show in the Gardens of the Royal Hospital, Chelsea.

By command of The Queen, Mr. Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr. Keiichi Hayashi at 101-104 Piccadilly, London W1, this afternoon in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from Japan to the Court of St. James’s.

By command of Her Majesty, the Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps later called upon Her Excellency Princess Lalla Joumala Alaoui at 49 Cadogan Square, London SW1, in order to bid farewell to Her Excellency upon relinquishing her appointment as Ambassador from the Kingdom of Morocco to the Court of St. James’s.

The Baroness Chisholm of Owlpen (Baroness-in-Waiting) was present at Heathrow Airport, London, this afternoon upon the Arrival of the Governor-General of New Zealand and Lady Mateparae and welcomed Their Excellencies on behalf of The Queen.

The Prince of Wales this morning visited the Institute of Electronics, Communications and Information Technology at Queen’s University, Northern Ireland Science Park, Belfast, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Belfast (Mrs. Fionnuala Jay-O’Boyle).

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited Hillsborough Castle, County Down.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Henry of Wales this evening visited the Chelsea Flower Show in the Gardens of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, London SW3.

The Duchess of Cambridge this afternoon held a Meeting with representatives working in support of services for women in prisons.

The Earl of Wessex, Chairman, the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this morning visited Gordon Institute of Business Science, University of Pretoria, 26 Melville Road, Johannesburg, and was received by the British High Commissioner to the Republic of South Africa (Her Excellency Mrs. Judith Macgregor).

His Royal Highness afterwards visited the University of Johannesburg Science Centre, Ellen Khuzwayo Building, Chris Hanie Avenue, Soweto.

The Earl of Wessex this afternoon attended a Lunch for the British University Fellowship Scheme graduates at the Trade Commissioner’s Residence.

The Countess of Wessex this morning attended the Mentoring Foundation Colloquium “Mentoring in Action: Developing and Sustaining the Pipeline of Talented Women in the United Kingdom” at the Inner Temple, Crown Office Row, London EC4.
