The Prince of Wales this morning received Mr. Mark Webb (Chief Executive Officer, Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority, Western Australia) and Dr. Paul Smith (Secretary General, Botanic Gardens Conservation International).

His Royal Highness, Colonel-in-Chief, The Parachute Regiment, received Lieutenant Colonel Giles Timms upon relinquishing his appointment as Colonel Commandant of 4th Battalion and Lieutenant Colonel James Loudoun upon assuming the appointment.

Lieutenant Colonel Duncan Mann (Commanding Officer, 2nd Battalion The Parachute Regiment) was also received by The Prince of Wales.

The Duchess of Cornwall this morning attended the live broadcast of the BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show’s 500 Words Final at Shakespeare’s Globe, 21 New Globe Walk, Bankside, London SE1, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Mr. Kenneth Olisa).

The Earl of Wessex this morning arrived at Heathrow Airport, London, from Ghana.

Mr. Timothy Roberts was in attendance.

His Royal Highness, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this afternoon held a Meeting.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Grand Prior, the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem, this morning attended the Grand Council Meeting at Hong Kong St. John Ambulance Headquarters, St. John Tower, 2 Macdonnell Road, Hong Kong.

His Royal Highness this afternoon attended a Luncheon given by Her Majesty’s Consul-General for Hong Kong and Macao (Ms. Caroline Wilson) at the residence.

The Duke of Gloucester, Grand Prior, the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem, later attended the Grand Council Meeting at Hong Kong St. John Ambulance Headquarters.

His Royal Highness, Grand Prior, the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem, this evening held an Investiture at St. John’s Cathedral, Garden Road, Central, Hong Kong.

The Duke of Gloucester, Grand Prior, the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem, afterwards attended a Dinner at the China Club Hong Kong, the Old Bank of China Building, Bank Street, Central, Hong Kong.

The Duke of Kent, Patron, St. Mungo’s, this afternoon held a Luncheon at Buckingham Palace for St. Mungo’s and RollOnMonday.

Princess Alexandra, Patron, People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals, today opened the new Birmingham Pet Hospital, St. Matthew’s Road, Oldbury, and was received by Mr. David Frost (Deputy Lieutenant of West Midlands).

Her Royal Highness later opened the new Acute Medical Triage and Assessment Unit, Good Hope Hospital, Rectory Road, Sutton Coldfield, and was received by Professor Rashid Gatrad (Deputy Lieutenant of West Midlands).
