The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, today attended events to mark the Centenary of the sinking of HMS HAMPSHIRE.
Her Royal Highness this morning attended a Service in St. Magnus Cathedral, Kirkwall, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Orkney (Mr. William Spence).
The Princess Royal this afternoon visited Orkney Museum, Tankerness House, Kirkwall, and viewed the First World War Naval exhibition.
Her Royal Highness later attended a Reception for HMS HAMPSHIRE descendants and unveiled a Book of Names at Birsay Community Hall and was received by Mr. Keith Johnson (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Orkney).

Princess Alexandra this morning started the Annual Sponsored Walk for the West London Hospitals Holiday Dialysis Trust from East Sheen Gate, Richmond Park London SW14.
