His Excellency Mr. Frederick Hamley Case was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Commission as High Commissioner for the Co-operative Republic of Guyana in London.
His Excellency Dr. Hailemichael Aberra Afework was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the Court of St. James’s.
Mrs. Abebetch Zeleke Aweke was also received by Her Majesty.
Mrs. Karen Pierce (Chief Operating Officer of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office) was present.
Sir Julian King was received in audience by The Queen this afternoon and kissed hands upon his appointment as Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the French Republic.
Lady King was also received by Her Majesty.
The Queen held a Council at 5.30 p.m.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, Chartered Society of Designers, this evening held a Reception at St. James’s Palace and presented The Prince Philip Designers Prize.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were represented by The Prince of Wales at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of the Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne, which was held in St. Martin-in-the Fields Church, London WC2, this morning.

The Prince of Wales afterwards received Mr. Jonathan Tubbs (the Keeper, Middle East, British Museum) and participants in the Iraq Emergency Heritage Management Training Scheme.
His Royal Highness, Patron, the Ashden Awards, subsequently received the winners of the 2016 Awards.
