The Queen held an Investiture at the Palace of Holyroodhouse this morning.
Afterwards Mr Kenneth Mackintosh MSP (Presiding Officer of the Scottish Parliament) was received by Her Majesty.
The Lord Hope of Craighead KT (Lord High Commissioner to the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland) was received by The Queen and reported on the recent proceedings of the General Assembly.
Mr James Bewsher, winner of the annual shooting event of The Queen’s Body Guard for Scotland, Royal Company of Archers, was presented to Her Majesty this afternoon and received The Queen’s Prize.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh gave an Afternoon Party in the garden of the Palace of Holyroodhouse.
The Earl of Wessex and The Princess Royal were present.
The Queen’s Body Guard for Scotland, Royal Company of Archers and the High Constables of the Palace of Holyroodhouse were on duty.
The Royal Marine Band Scotland, the Band of The Royal Regiment of Scotland and the Royal Scottish Pipers’ Society played selections of music during the afternoon.
The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland, this morning attended a Reception to mark the Centenary of the Incorporation, 15 Rutland Square, Edinburgh.
By command of The Queen, Mr. Henry Goulding (Partner, Farrer and Company) was today presented with the Insignia of a Member of the Royal Victorian Order, which honour Her Majesty has been pleased to confer upon him.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this morning visited Aberdaron and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Gwynedd (Mr Edmund Bailey).
Their Royal Highnesses afterwards opened South Caernarfon Creamery, Rhydygwystl, Chwilog, Pwllheli.
The Prince of Wales later visited Trefor Owen Clog Maker, Heol Henbont, Criccieth Gwynedd.
His Royal Highness this afternoon opened the School of Ocean Sciences, Bangor University, Anglesey.
The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon visited Cadwalader’s ice cream shop, the Iris, Castle Street, Criccieth, and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution Criccieth Lifeboat Station, Lon Felin, Criccieth, and was received by, Dr. Elizabeth Andrews (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Gwynedd).
Her Royal Highness afterwards visited Storiel Museum, Ffordd Gwynedd, Bangor, and was received by Mrs. Victoria Gruffudd (Deputy Lieutenant of Gwynedd).

The Duke of Cambridge, Commodore-in-Chief, Submarines, this morning visited HMS Artful at sea and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Ayrshire and Arran (Mr John Duncan).
His Royal Highness, President, this evening attended a Dinner at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, 195 Piccadilly, London W1.
Prince Henry of Wales this morning visited Cast North West, Newburgh, and was received by Mrs Edith Conn (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester).
His Royal Highness afterwards visited Motorsport Project, Three Sisters Racing Circuit, Ashton-in-Makerfield, Wigan.
Prince Henry of Wales later visited Wigan Youth Zone, Parson’s Walk, Wigan.
