General Sir Nicholas Houghton was received by The Queen today upon relinquishing his appointment as Chief of the Defence Staff.
Her Majesty received the Bishop of Oxford (the Right Reverend Dr Steven Croft) who did homage upon his appointment.
The Queen received the Bishop of Lichfield (the Right Reverend Dr Michael Ipgrave) who did homage upon his appointment.
The Bishop of Carlisle (Clerk of the Closet) administered the Oath.
The following were received in audience by The Queen and kissed hands upon their appointment as Her Majesty’s Ambassadors: Mr Matthew Lodge (the State of Kuwait), Mr John Saville (the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela) and Mr Jonathan Wilks (the Sultanate of Oman).
Mrs Lodge, Ms Fabiola Moreno de Alboran and Ms Patricia Haslach were also received by Her Majesty.
Mrs Menna Rawlings was received in audience by The Queen upon her appointment as British High Commissioner to the Commonwealth of Australia.
Mr Mark Rawlings was also received by Her Majesty.
The Rt Hon Michael Gove MP had an audience of The Queen this afternoon and delivered up the Great Seal and took leave upon relinquishing his appointment as Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh gave a Reception at Buckingham Palace this evening for winners of The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise.
Princess Eugenie of York, The Princess Royal, The Duke of Gloucester, The Duke of Kent, and Prince and Princess Michael of Kent were present.

The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon held a Reception at Clarence House for supporters of victims of domestic abuse and those who work towards its prevention.

His Royal Highness, Patron, Sentebale, this afternoon attended a Board Meeting at 136 Sloane Street, London SW1.
Prince Henry of Wales, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry, later attended a Sports Social and Barbecue at Perk’s Field, Kensington Palace Gardens.

His Royal Highness, Patron, London Gardens Society, this afternoon toured the winning gardens in Fulham and was received by Mr Kevin McGrath (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London), in Chelsea and was received by the Reverend Canon David Reindorp (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London), and in Pimlico and was received by Mrs Colleen Harris (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Duchess of Gloucester this afternoon departed from Heathrow Airport, London, for Serbia and was received upon arrival in Belgrade by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Serbia (His Excellency Mr Denis Keefe).
