Her Royal Highness later visited the National Headquarters of Refuge and was received by Mr Leslie Morgan (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

His Royal Highness this evening attended the Regimental Sergeant Majors’ Convention Dinner at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, Camberley, Surrey.

Her Royal Highness, Chairman, Women in Business (promoting The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award), later held a Dinner at Buckingham Palace.

The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester today undertook the following engagements in Cornwall.

The Duke of Gloucester this afternoon visited Penryn, to mark its Eight Hundredth Anniversary, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cornwall (Colonel Edward Bolitho).

His Royal Highness afterwards visited iSight Cornwall, the Sight Centre, Newham Road, Truro.

The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester subsequently visited HMS Raleigh, Torpoint.

The Duchess of Gloucester this afternoon officially opened Saltash Blue Plaque Trail to mark the Thirtieth Anniversary of Saltash Heritage, Saltash Guildhall, Fore Street, Saltash, and was received by Mrs Ellen Winser (Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of Cornwall).

Her Royal Highness, Royal Patron, afterwards visited TR14ers Community Dance Team, Saltash Guildhall.

The Duchess of Gloucester later visited the Saltash Chronicles Embroidery Project, Saltash Baptist Church, Culver Road, Saltash.

Her Royal Highness subsequently visited Mary Newman’s Cottage, 51 Culver Road, Saltash.

The Duchess of Gloucester afterwards visited Livewire Youth Project, the Waterside, Brooke Close, Saltash, to mark the Seventieth Anniversary.

Princess Alexandra this evening attended a Ceremony for the award of an Honorary Doctorate of Science and Reception at the Australian High Commission, Australia House, Strand, London WC2.
