Mr Gavin Barwell MP was received by The Queen today when he delivered up his Wand of Office upon relinquishing his appointment as Comptroller of the Household.

Mr Melvyn Stride MP was received by The Queen upon his appointment as Comptroller of the Household when Her Majesty handed to him his Wand of Office.

Mr Kristan Hopkins MP was received by The Queen and delivered up his Wand of Office upon relinquishing his appointment as Vice-Chamberlain of the Household.

Mr Julian Smith MP was received by The Queen upon his appointment as Vice-Chamberlain of the Household when Her Majesty handed to him his Wand of Office.

The Baroness Goldie and the Baroness Mobarik were received by The Queen upon assuming their appointment as Baronesses in Waiting to Her Majesty.

The Lord Young of Cookham was received by The Queen upon assuming his appointment as a Lord in Waiting to Her Majesty.

Mrs Meryl Walter was received by The Queen when Her Majesty invested her with the Insignia of a Member of the Royal Victorian Order.

The Duke of Edinburgh was represented by Group Captain Marcus Wills (formerly of The Queen’s Flight) at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Squadron Leader David Hurley (formerly of The Queen’s Flight) which was held at St Agatha’s Church, Brightwell-cum-Sotwell, Oxfordshire, this afternoon.

His Royal Highness this afternoon received the Hon Rachel Notley (Premier of Alberta) at the Château Lacombe Hotel.

The Earl of Wessex, Vice Patron, Commonwealth Games Federation, this evening attended a Reception given by the Mayor of Edmonton at City Hall, Sir Winston Churchill Square, Edmonton.

His Royal Highness, Vice Patron, Commonwealth Games Federation, afterwards attended a Dinner at Madison’s Grill, Jasper Avenue North West, Edmonton.

The Countess of Wessex, President, National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, today attended the Annual Council Meeting at Central Hall Westminster, Storey’s Gate, London SW1.

Her Royal Highness, Global Ambassador, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this evening attended a Dinner for International Golf for Youth, at Windsor Castle.

Her Royal Highness, Chancellor, University of the Highlands and Islands, today attended Perth College’s Graduation Ceremony at Perth Concert Hall, Mill Street, Perth.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Special Forces Club, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this evening attended the Annual Dinner at the Honourable Artillery Company, Armoury House, City Road, London EC1.

The Duke of Gloucester, Grand Prior, the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem, this morning departed from Heathrow Airport, London, for Italy.

His Royal Highness this afternoon attended a Meeting of the Council of the Alliance of the Orders of St John at the Grand Magistry, Via Condotti, Rome.
