COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

His Holiness Kirill, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, was received by The Queen today.

The Archbishop of Canterbury, the Bishop of London and Dean of Her Majesty’s Chapels Royal, His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk (Chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate Department for External Church Relations) and Archbishop Elisey of Sourozh (Bishop of the UK Russian Orthodox Diocese of Sourozh) were in attendance.

Mr Paul Arkwright was received in audience by The Queen this afternoon upon his appointment as British High Commissioner to the Republic of Nigeria.

The Governor of South Australia (the Hon Hieu Van Le) was received by The Queen.

Mrs Le was also received by Her Majesty.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh gave a Reception at Buckingham Palace this evening for Team GB and Paralympics GB medallists from the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Henry of Wales, The Duke of York, The Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and The Duke of Kent were present.

By command of The Queen, Mr Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) received His Excellency Mr Iulian Fruntasu at St James’s Palace this afternoon in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Republic of Moldova to the Court of St James’s.

Clarence House

The Prince Charles, Lord of the Isles, this morning attended the Royal National Mòd, the Nicolson Institute, Sandwick Road, Stornoway, Isle of Lewis, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the Western Isles (Mr Alexander Matheson).

His Royal Highness later visited Isle of Harris Distillery, Tarbert, Isle of Harris.

The Duchess of Cornwall, President, Barnardo’s, this afternoon received the Lady Amanda Ellingworth (Deputy Chairman).

Her Royal Highness, Honorary Air Commodore, Royal Air Force Leeming, received Group Captain David Bradshaw upon relinquishing his appointment as Station Commander and Group Captain David Arthurton upon assuming the appointment.

Kensington Palace

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge this afternoon held a Reception at Kensington Palace for the finalists of BBC Radio One’s Teen Hero Awards.

Prince Henry of Wales this afternoon visited the Running Charity at 247 Willesden Lane, London NW2.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York this afternoon attended a Luncheon given by Rt Hon the Lord Mayor (Alderman the Lord Mountevans) and Court of Aldermen at Guildhall, London EC2.

His Royal Highness, Chancellor, the University of Huddersfield, this evening attended the Russell Group Vice-Chancellors’ Dinner at 1 Great George Street, London SW1.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal this morning visited ABT Products Limited, Ashburton Industrial Estate, Ross-on-Wye, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Herefordshire (the Countess of Darnley).

Her Royal Highness later visited James Gourmet Coffee Company, Chase Industrial Estate, Ross-on-Wye.

The Princess Royal, Colonel-in-Chief, Royal Corps of Signals, today visited 264 Signal Squadron, Stirling Lines, Hereford, Herefordshire, on the occasion of its Fiftieth Anniversary.
