The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, this morning opened the Francis Crick Institute, 1 Midland Road, London NW1, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Mr Kenneth Olisa), the Chairman (Sir David Cooksey) and Sir Paul Nurse (Director and Chief Executive).
Her Majesty, escorted by the Director and Chief Executive, and His Royal Highness, escorted by the Chairman, viewed work being undertaken in laboratories, met scientists and staff members and, accompanied by The Duke of York, attended a mini-lecture on the influenza virus.
The Rt Hon Theresa May MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The Queen this evening.
The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, Royal Air Force Museum, this afternoon held a Luncheon at Buckingham Palace.
His Royal Highness, Grand Master, Order of the British Empire, later attended Evensong in St Paul’s Cathedral, London EC4.

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, today attended Receptions at St James’s Palace for young people who have achieved the Gold Standard in the Award.
His Royal Highness this afternoon visited the Brunel Museum, Railway Avenue, Rotherhithe, London SE16, and was received by Lieutenant Colonel Simon Duckworth (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, the Brendoncare Foundation, today attended a Ground Breaking ceremony for Brendoncare Otterbourne Hill and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire (Mr Nigel Atkinson).

Her Royal Highness, Guardian, Give Them A Sporting Chance, later attended a Management Team Planning Meeting at Fountain House, 130 Fenchurch Street, London EC3.
The Princess Royal, Second Warden, the Fishmongers’ Company, this evening attend a Livery Dinner at Fishmongers’ Hall, London Bridge, London EC4.
St James’s Palace
The Duke of Kent today visited Barnsley Sixth Form College, Church Street, Barnsley, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of South Yorkshire (Mr Andrew Coombe).
