COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

His Excellency Mr Qirjako Qirko was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Albania to the Court of St James’s.

Mrs Qirko was also received by Her Majesty.

His Excellency Professor Arkady Rzegocki was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Poland to the Court of St James’s.

Mrs Rzegocka was also received by Her Majesty.

Sir Simon McDonald (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present.

Air Chief Marshal Sir Stephen Hillier was received by The Queen upon his appointment as Chief of the Air Staff.

The Queen, Patron, the Royal Life Saving Society, and The Duke of Edinburgh, accompanied by Prince Michael of Kent, Commonwealth President, this evening gave a Reception at Buckingham Palace to commemorate the One Hundred and Twenty Fifth Anniversary.

The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and Princess Michael of Kent were also present.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, this morning visited the National Maritime Museum, Park Row, Greenwich, London SE10, and was received by Dr Pieter van der Merwe (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

His Royal Highness, Captain General, Royal Marines, this afternoon attended the Colonels Commandant Luncheon at Stationers’ Hall, Ave Maria Lane, London EC4.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were represented by Lieutenant Colonel Gordon Birdwood (Gentleman Usher to The Queen) at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Lieutenant Colonel Sir Julian Paget, Bt (formerly Extra Gentleman Usher to The Queen) which was held at the Chapel of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, London SW3, this afternoon.

The Prince of Wales, Chairman, the Royal Collection Trust, this morning chaired a Meeting of the Trustees at Clarence House.

His Royal Highness this afternoon held a Meeting for Waitrose Duchy Organic.

The Prince of Wales received the Rt Hon Andrea Leadsom MP (Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs).

His Royal Highness, President, this evening visited the Royal Drawing School’s Annual Exhibition at Christie’s, 8 King Street, London SW1, and afterwards held a Dinner at St James’s Palace.

The Duchess of Cornwall, Joint President, this evening held a Dinner at Clarence House for the Elephant Family.

The Duchess of Cambridge, Patron, this afternoon attended a Children’s Tea Party at the Natural History Museum, Cromwell Road, London SW7.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Place2Be, this evening attended the Wellbeing in Schools Awards at the Mansion House, London EC4.

Prince Henry of Wales, on behalf of The Queen, today carried out the following engagements in Barbuda.

His Royal Highness this morning visited the Frigate Bird Sanctuary.

Prince Henry of Wales later visited Holy Trinity Primary School and Nursery.

His Royal Highness afterwards visited Sir McChesney George Secondary School, Indigo Well Area.

Prince Henry of Wales this afternoon visited the Botanical Gardens, St John’s, to inaugurate The Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy in Antigua.

His Royal Highness later departed Barbuda for St Kitts.

Her Royal Highness this afternoon presented The Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Sustainable Development to the Wates Group, Wates House, Station Approach, Leatherhead, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey (Mr Michael More-Molyneux).

The Princess Royal, Patron, later attended the British Nutrition Foundation’s Annual Day at the Royal College of Physicians, 11 St Andrews Place, London NW1.

Her Royal Highness, Chancellor, University of London, this evening attended Foundation Day at the Senate House, Malet Street, London WC1.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent this morning visited Griffon Hoverwork, Merlin Quay, Hazel Road, Southampton, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire (Mr Nigel Atkinson).

His Royal Highness today visited Southampton University, Boldrewood Campus, Burgess Road, Southampton.

Princess Alexandra this afternoon opened the new library at Tonbridge School, High Street, Tonbridge, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Kent (the Viscount De L’Isle).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Leeds Castle Foundation, later visited Leeds Castle, Maidstone, and was received by Mr Richard Oldfield (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Kent).
