The Queen held an Investiture at Windsor Castle this morning.

Kensington Palace

Prince Henry of Wales this morning departed Grantley Adams International Airport, Barbados, for Guyana and was received this afternoon upon arrival at Ogle International Airport by the British High Commissioner to the Co-operative Republic of Guyana (His Excellency Mr. Gregory Quinn) before carrying out the following engagements on behalf of The Queen.

His Royal Highness called upon The President of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana at the Ministry of the Presidency, Georgetown.

Prince Henry of Wales afterwards laid a wreath at the Independence Monument in Georgetown.

His Royal Highness later met members of the Guyana Defence Force at Camp Ayanganna, Georgetown.

Prince Henry of Wales afterwards laid a wreath at the Commonwealth War Graves in Georgetown.

His Royal Highness this evening attended a Reception given by the British High Commissioner to the Co-operative Republic of Guyana.

The Duke of York today visited the set of Journey’s End, Pinewood Studios, Cardiff, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of South Glamorgan (Mrs. Morfudd Meredith).

The Princess Royal this morning received Admiral Sir Philip Jones (First Sea Lord and Chief of the Naval Staff).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, the Royal College of Midwives, afterwards attended the European Midwives Association International Education Conference at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, Broad Sanctuary, Westminster, London SW1, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Mr. Kenneth Olisa).
