COURT CIRCULAR

Sandringham, Norfolk

Divine Service was held in Sandringham Parish Church this morning.

The Bishop of Newcastle preached the Sermon.

Mr. David Benefer was received by The Queen when Her Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Member of the Royal Victorian Order.

Mr. Colin Garrard was received by The Queen when Her Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Member of the Royal Victorian Order.

Mr. Stephen Birrell and Mrs. Marian Plumley were received by The Queen when Her Majesty decorated them with the Royal Victorian Medal (Silver).

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Irish Regiment, was represented by General Sir Roger Wheeler (formerly Deputy Colonel) at the Memorial Service for Colonel Sir Dennis Faulkner (formerly Colonel, The Ulster Defence Regiment, later The Royal Irish Regiment) which was held in Down Cathedral, Downpatrick, County Down, this afternoon.
