COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

His Excellency Mr. Choe Il was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea to the Court of St. James’s.

Mrs. Kim Yong Ae was also received by Her Majesty.

His Excellency Mr. Abdesselam Aboudrar was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Kingdom of Morocco to the Court of St. James’s.

Mrs. Saloua Larhrissi was also received by Her Majesty.

Sir Simon McDonald (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present.

Mr. Julian Smith MP (Vice-Chamberlain of the Household) was received in audience by The Queen and presented an Address from the House of Commons to which Her Majesty was graciously pleased to make reply.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were represented by the Earl of Airlie KT (Chancellor of the Most Ancient and Most Noble Order of the Thistle) at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Lady Marion Fraser LT which was held in St. Giles’ Cathedral, Edinburgh, this morning.

The Princess Royal was represented by the Lord Mackay of Clashfern KT.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales, Colonel, Welsh Guards, this morning held a Regimental Council Meeting at Clarence House.

His Royal Highness, Patron, Holocaust Memorial Day Trust, this afternoon held a Reception at St. James’s Palace.

The Prince of Wales, Honorary Member, Royal Geographical Society, later received Major Levison Wood (Fellow).

His Royal Highness, President, The Prince’s Trust, this evening attended a Reception at the Savoy Hotel, Strand, London WC2, for the Trust’s Invest in Futures and was received by Wing Commander Michael Dudgeon (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Duchess of Cornwall, President, Maggie Keswick Jencks Cancer Caring Centres Trust, this evening held a Dinner at Clarence House.

Kensington Palace

Prince Henry of Wales this morning held a Meeting at Kensington Palace for the United Nations Aids Programme.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, Second Warden, the Fishmongers’ Company, this morning attended Court Meetings and a Luncheon at Fishmongers’ Hall, London Bridge, London EC4.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, the Royal College of Midwives, this afternoon visited the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust Maternity Unit, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Stadium Road, London SE18, and was received by Dr. Pieter van der Merwe (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, Grand Master, United Grand Lodge of England, this afternoon attended the Rulers’ Luncheon at Freemasons’ Hall, 60 Great Queen Street, London WC2.
