Buckingham Palace
His Excellency Mr. Antonio Manuel Lagdameo was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of the Philippines to the Court of St. James’s.
Mrs. Lagdameo was also received by Her Majesty.
His Excellency Mr. Erlan Idrissov was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Court of St. James’s.
Mrs. Idrissova was also received by Her Majesty.
Sir Simon McDonald (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present.
Admiral Sir Philip Jones (First Sea Lord and Chief of the Naval Staff) was received by The Queen this afternoon.
The Queen held a Council at 5.30 p.m..
There were present: the Rt. Hon. David Lidington MP (Lord President), the Rt. Hon. Alun Cairns MP (Secretary of State for Wales), the Baroness Evans of Bowes Park (Leader of the House of Lords and Lord Privy Seal) and the Rt. Hon. Sir Patrick McLoughlin MP (Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster).
The Rt. Hon. Sir Stephen Irwin was sworn in as a member of Her Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council.
At the Council, The Queen pricked the List of High Sheriffs for the Counties of England (other than Cornwall and those in the Duchy of Lancaster) and Wales.
After the Council, the Rt. Hon. Sir Patrick McLoughlin MP had an audience of Her Majesty when The Queen pricked the List of High Sheriffs for the Counties of the Duchy of Lancaster.
Mr. Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.
The Rt. Hon. David Lidington MP had an audience of Her Majesty before the Council.
The Rt. Hon. Theresa May MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The Queen this evening.
The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, today attended Receptions at St. James’s Palace for young people who have achieved the Gold Standard in the Award.
His Royal Highness, Patron, this evening held a Dinner at Buckingham Palace to mark the Seventy Fifth Anniversary of the Outward Bound Trust.

His Royal Highness this afternoon received Dr. Andrew Steer (President and Chief Executive Officer, World Resources Institute).

Her Royal Highness, President, the Southbank Centre’s WOW – Women of the World Festival, today held a Reception at Buckingham Palace to celebrate International Women’s Day.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Royal College of Anaesthetists, this morning attended the College’s Twenty Fifth Anniversary Conference at the Mermaid Conference Centre, Puddle Dock, London EC4.
Her Royal Highness, Patron, National Museum of The Royal Navy, this afternoon opened the Pioneers to Professionals: Women and the Royal Navy Exhibition at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, HM Naval Base, Portsmouth, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire (Mr. Nigel Atkinson).
The Princess Royal, Patron, Women’s Royal Naval Service Centenary, later launched the Centenary Project, Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.
