Her Excellency Ms. Marie Ndjeka Opombo was received in audience by The Queen this afternoon and presented the Letters of Recall of her predecessor and her own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the Court of St. James’s.
His Excellency Mr. Carlos Bastarreche was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Kingdom of Spain to the Court of St. James’s.

The Duke of Edinburgh was represented by Brigadier Archie Miller-Bakewell (Private Secretary to His Royal Highness) at the Memorial Service for Colonel Henry Hugh Smith (formerly Equerry to The Duke of Edinburgh) which was held in the Guards Chapel, Wellington Barracks, Birdcage Walk, London SW1, this afternoon.

The Prince of Wales, President, Business in the Community, this morning attended a Business Emergency Recovery Group Board Meeting at Clarence House.
The Prince of Wales, Colonel-in-Chief, accompanied by Prince Henry of Wales, this afternoon presented Operational Service Medals to members of the Royal Gurkha Rifles who have recently returned from Afghanistan and subsequently held a Reception at Buckingham Palace to mark the Fortieth Anniversary of His Royal Highness becoming Colonel-in-Chief.
The Duchess of Cornwall this morning attended the national launch of the Wash Bag Project, supported by Boots UK and UK Sexual Assault Referral Centres, at Boots UK Headquarters, Thane Road, Beeston, Nottingham, and was received by Colonel Timothy Richmond (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire).

The Duke of York this morning attended the Commonwealth Africa Summit at the Royal Overseas League, Park Place, London SW1.
His Royal Highness, Colonel in Chief, The Royal Irish Regiment (27th (Inniskilling), 83rd, 87th and The Ulster Defence Regiment), later received Lieutenant Colonel David Kenny upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer 2nd Battalion and Lieutenant Colonel Paul Walkley upon assuming the appointment.
The Duke of York this afternoon received the High Commissioner for the Independent State of Papua New Guinea in London (Her Excellency Mrs. Winnie Kiap).

Her Royal Highness this evening called upon The President of the Republic of Malawi at State House, Kamuzu Palace, Lilongwe.
The Countess of Wessex was subsequently entertained at a State Dinner given by The President at State House.

The Duke of Gloucester, President, the Britain-Nepal Society, this evening attended a Reception to mark the Bicentenary of bilateral relations between Nepal and the United Kingdom at the Embassy of Nepal, 12A Kensington Palace Gardens, London W8.
The Duchess of Gloucester, President, Bridewell Royal Hospital, King Edward’s School, Witley, this morning attended a Service in Southwark Cathedral, London SE1, to mark the One Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary of the School’s move to Witley, Surrey, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Mr Kenneth Olisa), and afterwards attended a Reception at Guildhall, Gresham Street, London EC2.
Her Royal Highness, Liveryman, the Vintner’s Company, this evening attended the International Wine Trade Dinner at Vintners’ Hall, 68 Upper Thames Street, London EC4.
