The following officers of The Queen’s Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard were received by Her Majesty today: Brigadier David Innes who delivered up his Stick of Office as Lieutenant, Colonel Michael Kingscote who delivered up his Stick of Office as Clerk of the Cheque and Adjutant and received his Stick of Office upon his appointment as Lieutenant, Major Henry Robertson who delivered up his Stick of Office as Ensign and received his Stick of Office upon his appointment as Clerk of the Cheque and Adjutant, Major Christopher Cox who delivered up his Stick of Office as Exon and received his Stick of Office upon his appointment as Ensign and Colonel Jonathan Schute who received his Stick upon his appointment as Exon.

The Queen, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Lancers, this afternoon received Lieutenant Colonel Marcus Mudd upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer and Lieutenant Colonel Henry Searby upon assuming the appointment.

Brigadier Andrew Hughes (Colonel) was present.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Admiral and Member, Royal Yacht Squadron, this afternoon received the Hon. Christopher Sharples upon relinquishing his appointment as Commodore and Mr. James Sheldon upon assuming the appointment.

His Royal Highness, Patron, Book Aid International, this evening held a Reception at St. James’s Palace.

The Prince of Wales this morning visited Clitheroe Food Festival, Clitheroe, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Lancashire (the Lord Shuttleworth).

His Royal Highness afterwards visited BAE Systems Academy for Skills and Knowledge, Sir Frederick Page Way, Samlesbury Aerospace Enterprise Zone, Mellor Brook, Blackburn, Lancashire.

The Prince of Wales, Patron, the Specialist Cheesemakers Association, this afternoon visited Dewlay Cheesemakers, Garstang Bypass, Garstang, Preston, Lancashire.

The Duchess of Cornwall, Patron, UK Harvest, this evening attended the UK CEO Cook Off in support of UK Harvest and the Jamie Oliver Food Foundation, Old Billingsgate, 1 Old Billingsgate Walk, London EC3.

Prince Henry of Wales this morning participated in a Yes You Can Mentoring Programme session with young people from Hamilton Community College, Keyham Lane West, Leicester, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Leicestershire (Jennifer, Lady Gretton).

His Royal Highness afterwards visited Leicestershire Aids Support Service, Michael Wood Centre, 53 Regent Road, Leicester, to mark their Thirtieth Anniversary.

Prince Henry of Wales this afternoon attended a sports session and met young people supported by the Pink Lizard Company, Southfields Drive Sports Centre, Southfields Drive, Leicester.

His Royal Highness, Patron, Institution of Civil Engineers, later received Professor Timothy Broyd (President) and Mr. Nicholas Baveystock (Director General and Secretary).

The Duke of York received the Hon. Joseph Johnson MP (Minister of State for Universities and Science).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited Kirkby Stephen Grammar School, Christian Head, Kirkby Stephen, Westmorland, Cumbria, to mark its Four Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary.

The Princess Royal afterwards visited Kirkby Stephen Mountain Rescue, Christian Head, Kirkby Stephen.
