Windsor Castle
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh gave a Dinner Party at Windsor Castle this evening.
The following were invited: His Excellency the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium and Mrs. Trouveroy, His Excellency the Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil (Mr. Eduardo dos Santos), the Right Reverend and Right Honourable Richard Chartres and Mrs. Chartres, Mr. and Mrs. Simon Henderson, Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London and Mrs. Olisa, Mr. and Mrs. William Parente, Sir Alan and Lady Parker, Major and Mrs. Timothy Peake, Sir William and Lady Proby and Professor Sir Hew and the Reverend Lady Strachan.
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness were represented by the Lady Susan Hussey (Lady in Waiting) at the Funeral of the Lady Charteris of Amisfield which was held in St. Peter’s Church, Stanway, Gloucestershire, this afternoon.
The Prince of Wales was represented by the Earl of Rosslyn.
Clarence House
The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall today carried out engagements in Florence, Italy.
Their Royal Highnesses this morning visited Mercato Sant’Ambrogio.
The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall subsequently attended a Celebration of Slow Food at Teatro del Sale.
Their Royal Highnesses later visited Opificio delle Pietre Dure.
The Prince of Wales, Patron, the Campaign for Wool, and The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon attended a Celebration of Wool, Palazzo Pitti.
The Prince of Wales afterwards visited the Caritas Hostel, Casa San Paolino.
His Royal Highness, Vice Patron, the British Council, and Patron, the British Institute of Florence, later visited Palazzo Strozzi.
The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this evening attended a Gala Dinner at Palazzo Vecchio, at which His Royal Highness received the Strozzi Foundation’s Renaissance Man of the Year Award.
Buckingham Palace
The Princess Royal this afternoon departed from Heathrow Airport, London, for Ghana and was received later upon arrival at Kotoka International Airport, Accra, by the British High Commissioner to the Republic of Ghana (His Excellency Mr. Jonathan Benjamin).
Mrs. William Nunneley and Commander Anne Sullivan RN are in attendance.
St James’s Palace
The Duke of Kent this afternoon visited Cornwall Marine Network, Falmouth, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cornwall (Colonel Edward Bolitho).
His Royal Highness afterwards officially opened Keynvor MorLift Head Office, Falmouth Wharves, Falmouth.
The Duke of Kent, President, Royal National Lifeboat Institution, subsequently visited Falmouth Lifeboat Station.
His Royal Highness later officially opened Solomon Browne Memorial Hall, Mousehole, Cornwall.
