Windsor Castle

The Queen held a Council at Windsor Castle at 11.45 a.m..

There were present: the Rt Hon David Lidington MP (Lord President), the Baroness Anelay of St. Johns (Minister of State for the Commonwealth and the United Nations, Foreign and Commonwealth Office), the Rt Hon Sir Alan Duncan MP (Minister of State for Europe and the Americas, Foreign and Commonwealth Office) and the Rt Hon Brandon Lewis MP (Minister of State for Police and the Fire Service, Home Office).

Mrs Ceri King was in attendance as Deputy Clerk of the Council.

The Queen, Chief Patron, Motability, this afternoon handed over the keys of the four millionth Motability vehicle at Windsor Castle and was received by the Chairman of Motability (the Lord Sterling of Plaistow).

The Queen, escorted by the Chairman, met Motability customers and members of staff, and Her Majesty subsequently presented keys to vehicle recipients.

The Princess Royal, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay, this morning received Mrs Jo O’Hara (Head of Forestry Commission Scotland) and Mr Scott Petrie (Director, Rural Skills Scotland).

The Duke of York, Colonel-in-Chief, Royal New Zealand Army Logistic Regiment “Duke of York’s Own”, this morning laid wreaths at the Australian and New Zealand War Memorials during the ANZAC Dawn Service at Hyde Park Corner, London W1.

His Royal Highness later received His Excellency Mr Trinh Dinh Dung (Deputy Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam).

The Duke of York, Colonel-in-Chief, Royal New Zealand Army Logistic Regiment “Duke of York’s Own”, today attended the ANZAC Service of Commemoration and Thanksgiving in Westminster Abbey, London SW1.

His Royal Highness, Founder, this evening held a Pitch@Palace for entrepreneurs and potential supporters at St James’s Palace.

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Patron, Tennis and Rackets Association, this morning held a Meeting.

The Princess Royal this afternoon opened the Entrance and Reception Building at Skegness Water Leisure Park, Walls Lane, Ingoldmells, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Lincolnshire (Mr Toby Dennis).

Her Royal Highness later visited the Equine Assisted Therapy Association, Grafton Underwood, Kettering, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Northamptonshire (Mr David Laing).

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester today visited Black Isle Brewery, Old Allangrange, Munlochy, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Ross and Cromarty (Mrs Janet Bowen).

His Royal Highness afterwards opened the newly restored Kirkmichael Buildings, Black Isle.

The Duchess of Gloucester, Chief Patron, Hope for Youth Northern Ireland, this afternoon received Mr Noel Lamb (Chairman of the Board of Trustees).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, the Lullaby Trust, this evening attended a Reception at Searcys, 30 Pavilion Road, Knightsbridge, London SW1.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, Grand Master, this morning attended the United Grand Lodge of England Victoria Cross Memorial Commemoration, Freemasons’ Hall, 60 Great Queen Street, London WC2.
