Buckingham Palace

The Duke of Edinburgh, Founder and Patron, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, this afternoon received a delegation from the Canadian Charter for Business.

His Royal Highness, Patron, Chartered Management Institute, this evening attended the President’s Dinner at the Banqueting House, Whitehall, London SW1.

The Lord Young of Cookham (Lord in Waiting) was present at Heathrow Airport, London, this evening upon the Arrival of The Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia and welcomed His Majesty on behalf of The Queen.

By command of The Queen, Mr Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon Her Excellency Mrs Joyce Kakuramatsi Kikafunda at Uganda House, 58-59 Trafalgar Square, London WC2, this morning in order to bid farewell to Her Excellency upon relinquishing her appointment as High Commissioner for the Republic of Uganda in London.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were represented by Major John Rodwell (formerly Standard Bearer of Her Majesty’s Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen at Arms) at the Memorial Service for Major Sir Fergus Matheson of Matheson, Bt (formerly Standard Bearer of Her Majesty’s Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen at Arms) which was held in the Guards Chapel, Wellington Barracks, Birdcage Walk, London SW1, this afternoon.

The Duchess of Cornwall was represented by the Lady Glenconner.

The Prince of Wales, President, the National Trust for Places of Historic Interest or Natural Beauty, this morning received Mr Timothy Parker (Chairman) and Dame Helen Ghosh (Director-General).

His Royal Highness this afternoon received Mr Dacian Ciolos (formerly Prime Minister of Romania).

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Cambridge this morning received Mr Brent Hoberman (Chairman, the Royal Foundation Taskforce on the Prevention of Cyberbullying).

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited the Passage, St Vincent’s Centre, Carlisle Place, London SW1.

The Duke of York, Patron, Broughton House, Home for Ex-Service Men and Women, this evening attended a Service in Manchester Cathedral to celebrate the Centenary of Broughton House and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester (Mr Warren Smith).

The Earl of Wessex, Honorary Chairman, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, Young Canadians Challenge Charter for Business, this evening held a Charter for Business Dinner at Buckingham Palace.

The Princess Royal, Honorary Member, the Society of Merchant Venturers, this afternoon opened Griffiths House Dementia Unit, Cote House Lane, Westbury-on-Trym, Bristol, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the County and City of Bristol (Mrs Peaches Golding).

Her Royal Highness, Royal Patron, Hft, later attended a Voices to be Heard at Council Meeting, Bristol and Bath Science Park, Dirac Crescent, Emersons Green, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Gloucestershire (Dame Janet Trotter).
